We’ve been going to this location since it opened. The service has usually been good and the food — well we e been going back right? So it’s usually a nice stop for a bite.
So fast forward to tonight. I go through the drive through to get a taco, tortilla soup, and a quesadilla like I usually do.
I pull up and noticed that the car in front of me is just sitting there and not ordering. I thought about going in reverse and walking inside but an vehicle had pulled up behind me and trapped me in line. After about 5-7 minutes, the car in front of me begins to order.
After he finishes the order, I pull up to the ordering spot and then sat there for 5-7 minutes waiting for the person taking orders to acknowledge me then take my order. I moved up a car length and wait in this spot for just under ten minutes (I was listening to a podcast so I saw the time). This continued two more times until it was my turn
I paid and the young lady gave me the order. And right off the bat I’m concerned because I have no way of knowing how long it sat there during those 15-20 minutes.
I get home and the soup isn’t soup. It’s veggies on the bottom of a drink cup, half of an uncooked potato and a chicken breast with zero broth
The taco was fine but my quesadilla was ice cold and the rice tasted like it had sat for too long and gotten over cooked. (It was hard).
So I called in to complain about the soup (or lack thereof) and a young lady answers the phone. I ask to speak to a manager and she says that there isn’t one there. I then ask to speak to whomever is in charge and get told no one is in charge.
I give up and hang up.
We have ordered these things a lot of the past couple of years. Tonight was just - bad. I don’t know if it is a staffing issue, training issue, or just a lack of care. Simply put this was a long wait for not good food and the restaurant employees just didn’t know what to do when someone...
Read moreVery disturbed and disappointed to hear how my mother and her friends were treated here Friday night. After one of the drinks that they had ordered had a huge chip of glass missing and a sharp edge they asked for a replacement. A few minutes later, a waiter comes over to my mother Who is on a celiac/keto diet so she usually brings a small bag of quest chips with her so she can still support and enjoy her favorite Mexican restaurants. The waiter exclaimed that she’s not allowed to bring her own food in which she simply explains” I have dietary restrictions so I can’t enjoy the chips that y’all serve”. The waiter then snatches the bag from her and exclaims that he will no longer be waiting on them. A few minutes later returns and says he can wait on them but no more alcohol? They had only been in the restaurant for 10 minutes. They paid the bill and left. This guy was such a jerk and the manager didn’t seem to care how rude he was to them. Called for a corporate number to avoid writing this review and maybe giving them the benefit of the doubt but was told there was no one I could contact. They have been coming here for years and never had an issue with her bringing her own chips. Truly the way it was handled is what was so upsetting. We understand places have rules and policies but if you can’t be accommodating at least don’t be rude and aggressive toward your guests. It’s 2024, understand people have dietary...
Read moreI’ve eaten here multiple times for breakfast and a few times during Happy Hour. Pure and simple comfort food that is well priced. Their frozen margaritas are delicious as is their Botana plate. They also have an Al La Cart menu which is easy on the pocket book. The service can be slow because this place is packed on Sunday morning hence the 4 stars. Edit: I had lunch here last Sunday and tried the tortilla soup. It definitely was delicious and hearty although it was more like caldo. It also came with sliced avocado and fried tortilla strips. I had the large bowl which actually made two meals! My son had the chilaquilla omelette and said it was very good too, and my granddaughter always has bean and cheese tacos which she said are delicious at Camila’s. Update: A friend and I were craving Mexican food after the solar eclipse 🤣. We both had the Fiesta Enchilada Plate which included a chicken enchilada with green sauce, a cheese enchilada and a chicken mole’ enchilada. It was served with rice, beans and a salad. Tea was included as well. We opted for the happy hour frozen margaritas; raspberry and mango. The food was delicious and plentiful so we both skipped dinner that day. This plate isn’t on the menu so I believe it’s an April special as fiesta is just around the corner. Delicious food and delicious drinks, so...
