I recently visited Eat Wit Yo Eyez, located in a food hall, and while the check-in process was a bit confusing at first, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Now as far as location goes this not a sit down resteraunt but there are tables to eat outside but no trash cans and you will get ate up by mosquitos. As someone from Louisiana and growing up eating Cajun food, finding good Cajun food outside of my home state is always a challenge, but this place exceeded my expectations.
I ordered the lemon pepper fish with crawfish étouffée, and it was seasoned to perfection, bringing back memories of being home. The flavors were authentic, as close as you can get to Louisiana while in Texas. If you like bland this is not your spot! Having been let down by other Cajun spots in San Antonio, this one truly impressed me.
If you're looking for a real Cajun experience in San Antonio, Eat Wit Yo Eyez deserves more attention. The food is spot-on, and I’m excited to have found a place that reminds me of home. I even had a little friend accompany me on my meal :)…...
Read moreI took advantage of their Wed. Wing special. A great deal for $1/wing. I tried the OG flavor wings and they were delicious. No complaints whatsoever. The only thing I’d say concerning service is as a first timer coming to this food hall, the set up is a bit different so it can be a little confusing if you’re unfamiliar. But once you understand the concept, it’s pretty cool. Also, the pick up timeframe was a bit off, I had to wait an additional 20 mins outside of the estimated wait time (making the wait about 45 mins total). I can understand the delay to due to volume from the special. But it may be a good practice to just put an extended wait time to give a better idea. I was on my lunch break, so time was actually something I had to keep track of. But the wings were delicious and I’ll definitely be back to try other flavors and...
Read moreThis is a MUST try spot located in the Lombrano Food Hall. My son and I made the 35 minute trip to give them a try after hearing so many good reviews on the San Antonio Restaurants Facebook page. They did NOT disappoint!!! We had their fried fish combo which included seasoned fries and an 8 piece wing combo (1 order for me and 1 order for my son). The fish was INCREDIBLE!!! Perfectly seasoned with crispy exterior and flaky interior. The fries were perfectly seasoned as well. The REAL star of the show were their AMAZING wings!!! I had a mix of 4 Asian and 4 habanero. My son had a mix of 4 buffalo and 4 OG. They were perfect in every way!!! Crispy on the outside and doused in incredible tasting sauces. The inside was juicy, tender, and most importantly... INCREDIBLY brined!!!! This will be my family's go to from...
