Small businesses beware!! We are a small business that was looking for a ghost kitchen for one of our concepts. We went on the tour to become one of the vendors here. The actual food vendors are fantastic. The problem is Lombranos is actually cloud kitchens. Look up cloud kitchens on trust pilot. You can see how many small businesses they have screwed. People save money to go after their dreams and these people are knowingly making false promises.
Here’s my story.
I went to a tour with one of their managers to see one of the ghost kitchens. During the tour, the manger was going over the program and it was exactly what I was looking for. He made several promises like for example: We clean the hoods We take care of all the maintenance Once you sign my team partners with you to help you create your menus and help you design your kitchen. You can create your own website and charge to avoid the Uber eats and grub hub charge. Etc etc etc
It all seemed pretty straight forward. I asked them to send me the contract. When I read the contract, it contradicted many of the points they promised and excluded all their promises! There was zero in the contract that stated what their roles and responsibilities were and what would be considered a breach on their part.
I went back to them and pointed these out and asked that their promises and guarantees be in writing. After two weeks of wasting my time speaking to this guy or that guy, today I was told they are not putting anything in writing. So they KNOW they are making promises they do not intend to keep.
Thank God I didn’t sign but after doing some due diligence, I have spoken to some small businesses that were burned by them! They have burned people all over the country including here in San Antonio.
Do your research make them put...
Read moreSo I ordered from 2 places on my visit today. I ordered the Tocino (Mo's Way) with the Poutine fries and also ordered the Buffalo Lemon Pepper Wings and small fries from Eat Wit Yo Eyez. First let's talk about the Phili, several of their ingredients are sourced from Phili to be a authentic as possible. The meat is cooked to perfection, it's not dried out but does have a few crispy areas that help with the flavor. The veggies are grilled with great flavor but not disgustingly mushy like some places I've been to. The added crispy onions give a good texture and flavor mix. The bacon they add to this one is well cooked but not so crispy as to take away from the main meat of the sandwich. I had mine Mighty sized and added Mighty sauce to it and it was definitely a great choice. The Poutine fries had plenty of gravy and cheese curds. The gravy had a great consistency not to runny. Plus it had a great flavor to it. Now onto the wings. The wings are nice and fresh and not so drenched in the sauce that it kills the crispiness of the wings. The batter is not so built up that it's hard to bite into the wings, it's a nice little crispy batter that just falls apart once you bite into it. The Buffalo sauce is not over powering with vinegar or heat. It gives a great flavor push combined with the lemon pepper seasoning. The fries are of nice and crispy and you are given a good portion. They have a nice seasoning sprinkled over them that brings the wings and fries together in a great combo. We also got a pleasant surprise and got to try one of Mighty Mo's New desserts that they will be coming out with. Let's just say it was amazing! Not to sweet at all but a great flavor combo they have put together. I'll definitely be back to try more of their great food and put...
Read moreMy husband and I are visiting from out of town. Based on past reviews, we decided to order the Gochujang Chicken from Cypress Cafe. Unfortunately, it didn't have the texture of real fried Korean chicken and was more like a Buffalo Wild Wings style chicken tender drenched in sauce. The side panjeon was also lackluster. The most authentic item was the kimchi.
The locker order system is lovely, but we watched a woman get completely dismissed by restaurant staff after she politely cited that the online ordering system said her order was ready and it was not.
My philosophy is mistakes happen and it isn't easy to be in any small business in this economy. But don't sell inferior items or don't ignore a customer who voices concerns. A simple apology should have been given to that woman instead of "I'm cooking it right now".
Either convert this to a true Food Hall where customers can actually interact with each other and give each other real-time recommendations on what to order or continue this dystopian operation.
EDIT 9/13/24 per Lombrano Food Hall response:
To be fair, I understand how hard it is to manage a large group of businesses under one umbrella, while addressing security/safety concerns due to rising costs and homelessness (hence the locker system). I hope y'all find a happy medium that works for everyone in the community. Thank you for responding and taking our...
