If you care for an eclair. This is the place for the best cream filled chocolate dipped pastry from heaven. Other Boston Creams and Eclairs will actually sob and cry a little when they hear the name El Folklor. All of the young eclairs from other bakeries get mad at their bakers when they get word of the quality coming out of this little kitchen. The kolaches ! Spicy or not spicy no problem there, and it has double (easy) the cheese and sausage that the other ones do. And the bread is rich and soft and delicious . Whew Did you feel that?.... The one problem that I have with both of my favorites from El Folklor Bakery is that they are so good and really popular, that they sometimes run out. It can be tragic. Build my day around the ultra indulgent early morning splurge and BAMMO I'm just a bit too late. Just passed the last one walking out the door. It's nice to know that other people in the world like the things that I hold dear . Just don't be put off when you are leaving the bakery one morning and hear "hey lady, i'll give you ten bucks and two crullers for one of dem der ah kolaches" It's just me hating myself a little bit for running late. I'm sure that everything that comes out of this place is just as fantastic but i am really product loyal. Enjoy! And if you mention that you read this review you can enjoy an additional 0% off of your order that's nothing whatsoever. Zilch, nada, ninguna. Zero. But why? Why would they? These people sell all of them every day! They are just that good. Plus they have absolutely no idea who I am or that i like to write reviews or eat their food so that's that . Go try em out. You will not regret it. i guarantee it. Of course the retail value of the guarantee is equal to or less than the amount of discount you will get for mentioning ....you get the picture. Zero. Have...
Read moreThis bakery has awesome sweets especially the donuts. I go at least once a week so this time I decided to buy hot tamales and sausage jalp kolches thinking that they have good sweets so why not buy hot tamales. Will sadly the tamales were still undercooked and not tasty at all (no color) I had bought them for a Christmas get together, so I had to buy chili and cheese to give them some flavor. I will never buy tamales again from there, but will continue to buy the sweet bread for my sweet tooth and for my family. If you go, I don’t recommend the hot tamales because they were undercooked and no red chili on them so they didn’t have a good taste on them. If they were good I would had given them 5 stars. The kolches were ok, I would rather buy them from Valero next time. Giving them a 2 for the raw tamales, but a 5 for the fresh good bread. The service is always so good and fast. Always so clean...
