Fred's Fish Fry — Restaurant in San Antonio

Great fish been eating Fred's fish since i was younger. At this location i would be careful when receiving your change in hand, make sure u ask for reciept. Cashier was either playing stupid or just didnt know how to count. I noticed i was missing $5 in change. I told her to give me my reciept she kinda acted hesitant about it so i just waited till she gave it to me. I calculated the amount cause i had given her more than my total since i didn't have the exact amount. She knew cause, she had tooken it out and had it on the side. Hmmmm i wonder why? How hard is it to do a simple split transaction. Wanted to pay with some pocket money I had and use my card for the remaining balance. Apparently that’s too difficult for the 2 employees with no line or customers inside. Alfred I hope you see this and change both Your Employees with bad attitude, and your POS system. I’ve been a long repeat customer. And this was the worst experience I have ever had. Fish was bland, tough like cardboard. Wasnt a fan of the packets of tartar sauce. I was told they make their own and hooked it up fat. I was only given two small packets of it for three fish pieces. Bread was thin and dry. The chicken sandwich was yummy and would go back for that a many times more. The price for everything was phenomenally low and very worth it. I only gave two stars but would give a 2.8 for the great price and delicious chicken sandwich alone. Honestly, that chicken sandwich gets a 3.6 stars for affordability, consistency and flavor.
