The idly served with peanut chutney was a delightful culinary experience. The idly itself was soft and fluffy, a perfect canvas for the rich and nutty peanut chutney. The chutney's combination of roasted peanuts, spices, and a hint of tanginess added a unique and delicious flavor profile to the dish.
The sambar, on the other hand, brought a spicy kick that complemented the mild idly and peanut chutney beautifully. The rich, aromatic blend of spices and vegetables in the sambar created a satisfying and hearty accompaniment.
Additionally, the tomato chutney provided a zesty and tangy contrast, elevating the overall flavor profile of the meal. Lastly, sipping on a cup of hot tea alongside this ensemble was the perfect way to balance the spiciness and create a comforting dining experience.
In summary, the combination of idly with peanut chutney, spicy sambar, tangy tomato chutney, and a cup of tea is a flavor-packed journey that is sure to satisfy your taste buds and leave you craving for more. It's a must-try for anyone who enjoys a fusion of bold and diverse flavors...
Read moreIndian Food Stories is easily one of the best finds in San Antonio. If you’re craving authentic South Indian street food, this truck is an absolute must-visit.
I’ve tried many items on their menu, and honestly, every single one was worth it packed with flavor, made fresh, and cooked with so much love.
But the real hero was the Mysore Bonda perfectly crispy outside, soft and airy inside, and full of authentic South Indian flavor. It was hands-down the highlight of my visit.
The Ghee Podi Idli was comfort food done right, the Masala Dosa was crisp and flavorful, and the Allam Chai was the perfect way to wrap it all up warm, spiced, and refreshing.
On top of all that, the folks running the truck are super friendly and clearly take pride in their food. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.
Highly recommend checking them out if you’re in San Antonio you...
Read moreOn our way back from Garner state park to Houston, we decided to take detour to check this place, based on recommendation from our friend. Well the decision was worth its time and value. We ordered 4 different types of dosas, idli sambar, all the dishes were freshly prepared and you can taste the quality ingredients (I am drooling on remembering Ghee dosa, the ghee you can taste in every bite). I will definitely recommend this place to all the people who enjoy southern Indian cuisine and also to those who want to try something new. PS : when I told them I was driving to Houston, he recommended allam chai ( ginger tea) which was also delicious...
