š I received a notification from KFC on September 9th (Colonelās birthday) advertising 8 pieces of chicken for just $10. When I clicked on it, this Goliad Road location would not honor the promotion. After realizing it might be an app issue, I called in to ask for help and spoke to Rachel, who said she was a manager.
When I asked if she could assist, her response was dismissive ā she repeatedly told me, āI donāt own the app,ā as if that excused her from helping a paying customer. I asked if this was Kentucky Fried Chicken or Taco Bell, and she said it was KFC, but again insisted she couldnāt do anything. I know from working in restaurants that managers can override issues like this on their end, but Rachel made no effort to try. Instead, she told me to call back in 30 minutes to talk to the store manager. Then she abruptly hung up without a āthank you,ā without an apology, and without even a proper goodbye.
This is exactly why KFCās reputation keeps going downhill. The food is already overpriced compared to what it used to be, and now the customer service is just as disappointing. Rachelās lack of professionalism wasted my time, left me frustrated, and gave me zero resolution.
What makes it worse is that itās not fair to the other employees or the hard-working team members at this location. Just because Rachel showed no professionalism, character, or care, the entire store ends up with a one-star review. Thatās the sad reality of poor management.

She was rude & dismissive but at least she took the order down correctly according to the receipt. The kitchen however, either can't read what was ordered or just decided to ignore it because the 2 breast upcharges were filled with 2 thighs. When you call back afterwards, no one answers the phone. There are plenty of other choices in the area, spend your money some else.
