This was a great little secret tamale place. Shame it's only open 2 days of the week. Also I understand it's a little molino place but can you please communicate more about when your hours change or if your phone number changes. I went to get some tamales on Sunday 12/18/22 and your hours list you opening at 6am. I arrived there at 7am and the restuarant was still closed. Pretty sure other people were there before me and left because of that. Other than that the food was great, the cashier was warm and polite and the kitchen staff was helpful. Thanks for another year of great Christmas Tamales 😃

Great food and great people. First time trying this place and we really enjoyed everything we tried. The owner gave us some terrific recommendations. First, the barbacoa was beyond delicious and not greasy. Same with the carnitas. Our favorite of all the things we had were the pork tamales. Easily the best tamales we’ve had in the city, and we’ll be going back for more. Clean restaurant and kitchen with a few booths to enjoy your food. Try La Grande, you won’t be disappointed.

"I have to say that now I know why La Grande has a 4.8 rating. It has the best menudo in San Antonio, hands down. The flavor reminds me of my grandmother's menudo. It's incredible! But it doesn't stop there because they also serve phenomenal barbacoa. Highly recommended for your weekend morning fix.

• the gentleman who helped me was so so sweet and gave great customer service. I told him it was my first time there and he made sure I felt welcome. • it's a tiny tiny little place that only allows 4 people at a time inside. There was a long -but fast moving- line, which told me that this was a good place. • the tamales: the masa was flavored really well! The meat vs fat ratio inside was about 85/15. But the fat wasn't that grisly or barely chewable kind of fat, it was the kind that melts in your mouth. I have texture issues with fat, but I still REALLY enjoyed these tamales! • the barbacoa was fantastic. The menudo was hella greasy but also hella delicious so 🤷 • the avocado I bought was perfection and I loved the salsas as well!

Basically I enjoyed everything here. I can't wait to come back! Definitely on my go-to...

This is a take out Molina but there are a few tables if you want to eat there. The food is GOOD! One of the only places I'll get menudo from, so much like my mom's, I love it ❤️. The barbacoa is also GOOD oh and the tamales are also GOOD. We've also gotten chicharones from there too. Hell it's all good!!! From the salsa to the tortillas everything but the most important is the people. They are sooo nice and inviting they greet you like family. The mother/ owner has helped my husband when he was ill with a family remedy. I can't say enough good things...
