Went last night with some friends (1/18/14).
Let me start with what's "good" -The decor is great! Very chill/casual atmosphere, comfy couches, nice tables, etc. -The hookahs smelled nice (I didn't partake)
Now for the "not-so-good" play-by-play: -We were a large group with people trickling in and ended up occupying 2 tables of the 3 tables that were in use that night. There are 3 visible waiters/attendants. It took 20minutes to get a menu, we had to go to the register to ask them for napkins, and the menus (once we got them) turned out not to be accurate representations of the food they had. That, or the waitstaff don't know their own menus.
-I wanted to save some money and asked for a water. I got water, in a bottle, at the cost of $1.50. They apparently don't have tap water so I have to wonder what they use for the hookahs.
-I understand that they're "still working on the menu" but if a customer specifically asks for you not prepare the dish with a sauce he's allergic too (tzatziki and tahini) and you bring him a dish with A LOT of the the aforementioned sauces there's going to be a problem. Regarding my friends: their orders were mixed up: waiter/attendant didn't bother explaining which pita was which, the only reason I knew mine was that lamb is slightly darker than chicken.
-Food was also SUPER salty which is a dick move when you don't give tap water and you're charging 1.50 for bottled water ($2 for a 12oz soda)
-When I asked for my check and explained that we were all separate I was brought the check for our ENTIRE group.
Conclusion: -Go for the atmosphere/hookah but not for the food. If you want something, be prepared to get...
Read moreWent here to celebrate my sister’s birthday with a party of 6. In all honestly it was alright but the waitress had no idea what she was doing and then tried to make us pay for her mistake. We asked for Well Tequila shots but when we asked for the check to pay out, we find out we were charged $10 patron shots instead. I asked the waitress if patron was considered well (bc usually that’s top shelf) and she replied with yes. we decided to dispute the issue and ended up with here admiring It was her mistake but would meet us in the middle and got the shots down to $6 shots, even though the well shots were supposed to be $4, It wasn’t until I called the manager over to further dispute the charge that we realized that he was unaware that It was the waitress’s fault who messed up and that we didn’t ask for patron shots (as if the waitress put the blame on us). By the end of It, our vibe was ruined and we just wanted to leave so we finally got the right checks and we’re ready to pay only to find out after we paid out that there was an 18% gratuity charge tacked on to the Total. Honestly i felt like we were being taken advantage of and will probably never come to this...
Read moreWe had been here a couple times in the past a few years ago. We wanted to top off date night with some good memories, so we stopped in. Apparently, it is under new management. There was no food, and the drink selection was limited... They didn't even have Jack Daniels when my husband asked for Jack and Coke. I asked what types of hookah they had and the waitress had no idea; there was no menu to look at. She came out a few minutes later and gave me only one flavor. I asked if they had mint... As she said they don't have mint. And then I asked about iced hoses or bottoms and she seemed clueless. We ended up sitting at the bar because all of the tables were reserved. The hookah contraption they brought out to us was a plastic box the size of a Harry Potter book... It looked real beat up with burn marks all over it. One of the most jankiest things I've ever seen. The music wasn't really a chill vibe at all like a usual hookah bar is... Mainly rap music encouraging patrons to "pop that p*y". I'm always up for a good time, but I felt like I was at a bro's party instead of a chill hookah lounge that I have known Amore to be before.
Yeah,...
