Ordered thru the drive thru and was told it would be a six minute wait for them to make more egg rolls. No bigge! There were 2 cars ahead of me so I said out loud, by the time the two in front get their food and clear out of the drive thru, it would be a minute or two left. WRONG.
Jessica (girl at the window) says “they’re going to pull to the front and wait”.
I thought it was odd but still not a big deal, I can wait 6 minutes. Both cars drive around, I get to the window, pay for my food and she asks me to pull to the front door as well.
At the time there was no one behind me so I didn’t understand why they were making everyone pull up, but I’d guess they’re trying to fix their store’s stats. 🤷🏽♀️
I waited in the car for about 5 before I saw someone noticeably upset get out of her car and go to the cashier with her receipt. She’d been waiting for at least the five minutes I’d waited.
As they rushed to get her food ready, another person follows suit. They get out with their receipt and go inside. Then the third, fourth and fifth person.
By this time I was so intrigued by how many people they managed to back up that 20 minutes had gone by and I was still sitting out there waiting for someone to bring out my 6 minute order and not a single employee walked out with an rode for any of the cars.
After 20 minutes I went in and 4 people followed behind with receipts in hand. I’m usually annoyed by things like this but the employees were so stressed out I couldn’t even find it in me to press them and decided to just give them grace.
All that said…The line of drive thru orders became a line of inside pickups because the process was being handled so poorly.
They really should NOT have so many cars pulling forward when there’s no line in the drive thru. Just deal with one order at a time until you learn how to move more...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this restaurant and Arnold had tended us after being busy with a male customer who was in front of us. The person in front of us was eating samples as he was walking through the line. It also took a long time for him to check out because he wanted more sweet and sour sauce & more soy sauce which Arnold complied. Finally he came to us and my wife asked if she could sample the orange chicken and he refused. My wife asked why and he responded that they don't give samples after COVID, but my wife said, then why were you giving him all those samples and he was eating them in line, and he didn't know how to respond. I told him I would pay for the sample. But then the cook and short order clerk were also trying to get into the conversation. They were all very beligerent so we just left. They were also passive aggressive and yelled out God bless you all. There woks were mostly empty of what we wanted and that's the reason my wife's wanted to sample of what they did have. I wanted the mushroom chicken which they didn't have, and I asked when it would be done and Arnold said I don't know. We left. I can't believe these kids behaved that way and discriminated my wife. I took pictures of their empty woks. We went to another Panda Express and the staff was extremely nice. Even the manager there (Josue) gave us free drinks to try without asking. He told us the manager at the Walzem place was Ken and that he was probably not there. The panda express on Nacogdoches is a 5 star restaurant and the staff are very nice, compared to the bad beligerent staff on Walzem with no manager on site and empty woks. I live nearby here, but will never go back. I am going to contact their major headquarters because this is...

The first issue to rear it's ugly head was the lack of entrees and sides available. Somewhat understandable since it was near 7PM and they had 2 and a half more hours of operation. Not having your top popular items like orange chicken and steamed was disappointing to see. Secondly the entrees we picked out were either flavorless or way too sweet, no crunch whatsoever as if they have been sitting there for a while in their sauce. Only thing that was semi-decent was the lo mien which is not really hard to mess up. The crunchiest thing we ate there was the fortune cookie which tasted nicely compared to the actual food.
With everything else in mind, the cherry on top to make the experience even worse was my father found a piece of steel brush in his food. After going up to the counter, the woman up front working the register did not look up and take notice I was waiting for assistance. After presenting the issue she was not sincere in her apology or in her approach to the situation. She simply said "That is what we clean the woks with," and "What entrée do you want."
Overall I would not recommend coming here unless it was the only place open in a 100 mile radius. At least the food didn't give anyone a stomach ache. Will not be...
