Rios Southtown Barbacoa — Restaurant in San Antonio

1st time at Rios Barbacoa's, the inside was very clean. It was 1hr b4 closing. There was only 1 person ahead of me. Loved being greated as soon as you walk in. Just know when the food runs out they don't make more. I asked for 2 #2 but they only had tamales for 1 order, wasn't a big deal. They didn't have the chicharones with meat they were also out. They only had regular chicharones left. They were very nice to still hook us up others stuff. The barbacoa was good not over greasy had great flavor. The tamales were also tasty. The flour and corn tortillas were also good nothing super amazing but good. The 2 barbacoa packages they had were both under $30. The 2 ladies that were there never said anything but the gentleman there was super nice and very helpful guy 👍🏻. Def will go back and ill have 2 get there earlier. My Favorite Barbacoa I’ve been getting my barbacoa from here for years now. They are located in a new area which is still close! They sell out fast on the weekends so better stop by early. I love the barbacoa is always so lean, and has minimal fat. Everything they make here is delicious 🤤 from the chícharo to the beans! They have pick up, and dine in. There is seating inside, and limited outside seating. We got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. This barbacoa always goes so well with the big red or the Mexican coke! The staff is always friendly, and welcoming.
