San Antonio does it again! I drove 40 miles to get to this place and I was not disappointed. This place is about 4 months old and it really is a diamond in the rough. Everything was fresh made to order. My absolute favorite was the Taco Arabe. All of the flavors just meshed so well together. A perfect balance of savory chicken, garlic and acidic blends. The humus was delightfully smooth and did not over take the taste of the bread. The chicken kabob and rice was light yet deeply savory. Whatever that white sauce is just paired well with anything that touched it. I even took mine to go. Please know that the food you are getting is made when you order it. Wait time is not super long but you can’t go to a place with quality food such as this with a fast food mindset. Cafe Dubai was worth 40 mile drive and definitely worth a few minutes of waiting. Just park in the back and walk around the front. We will definitely mark this as a favorite. I hope nothing but the best for this...
Read moreDo not judge a book by its cover, i went in there hesitating cause the area seems shady but I wish I could visit again. This place is a hidden gem with some of the best Mediterranean flavors I’ve ever had. The hummus and baba ghanoush were absolutely outstanding — so creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Truly some of the best I’ve tried anywhere. We also ordered the chicken kabob with rice, the ground beef kabob with rice, and the gyro, and everything was delicious. The rice deserves a special mention — soft, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. To top it off, their Turkish tea is a must-try! It was so good we actually grabbed two bigger cups on our way home. Not to mention we also ordered their birria tacos and those are the best birria tacos me and my husband ever had! What made the experience even more special was the peaceful atmosphere. They were playing beautiful Qur’an recitation in the background, which created such a calm and welcoming vibe — something I really appreciated...
Read moreCafe Dubai is an absolute gem in the Lonestar District! My husband and I live nearby and frequent this spot because their menu never disappoints. Whether you’re craving Mediterranean fare, pizza, tacos, or burgers, there’s truly something for everyone.
The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Mediterranean flavors with some crowd-pleasing comfort food options. The hummus is rich and creamy, paired with freshly baked pita that’s simply irresistible. The rice is some of the most flavorful I’ve ever tasted, and the baba ganoush is absolutely phenomenal. For those who like a little kick, definitely ask for Lion’s specialty hot sauce – it’s a must-try!
