Taqueria Los Dos Laredos #5 — Restaurant in San Antonio

The food was good. I got a barbacoa torta, the service was excellent. However on the decor it goes in too many places, they have a horse mural (which I do like) with rope as a frame, that is unique. I hope they keep that. Then they have various paintings and other decorations that dont go with the place at all and make the place seem way to busy and stuffy. All of the knickknacks make the place seem unnecessarily cluttered. At each table there is a plastic plant, I sat down and sneezed, sure enough the plant was dusty. Then I looked around and all of the decoratios just attract more dust. Even the ceilings could use a good dusting.

The menus are old and peeling. I wonder how often they are wiped down. I think they need a more simple flat menu so they are easier to clean.

The floor however was spotless, even though they were busy. That is hard to do. I noticed under every table and the front work station (where the food comes from the kitchen) was spotless too, top to bottom.

i would have given zero stars but i have to give at least one. I have been going to this place for almost 5 years now, the food is really good which is why i had kept going back. The service is not always all that great. I placed an order and it was completely wrong. When i called to let them know i was told by the Manager Aurora that it was my fault, that i should have checked the order before i left and what did i want her to do. If i am always getting my order wrong, why do i still go there. Once i went there and was left in the drive thru, she got mad at me because i didn't remind her that i was there after i had already placed my order with her. She was just sitting at the table talking to men and left me sitting there. i tried to knock on the window, bang, and tried to get her attention. After today, will no longer go there and will let people know of horrible i have been treated...

I was a regular customer for several months, because this place was quick and convenient. I didn't write a review before because their food and service always had its ups and downs. Yesterday, I found several pieces of mouse feces in my tortilla on my breakfast tacos. I know for certain this was not a burnt piece. Photo is available upon request - I prefer not to post photo to offend readers. I called, no apologies were given, but was offered money back or a replacement. I was not able to return to the restaurant before they closed, however I'm not interested is anything from there anymore. Since last night, I have had digestive problems. Never returning...
