I stopped at La Coronela Mexican Restaurant at 7:10 AM, hoping for a quick and easy breakfast—just four breakfast tacos and two coffees. With only two vehicles ahead of me in the drive-thru, I expected to be in and out in no time. Unfortunately, what followed was a frustrating experience that left me both delayed and disappointed.
Right from the start, the clerk on the speaker was rude, curtly telling me to "wait a minute" without any courtesy. When he finally returned, his attitude worsened with an abrupt, "What do you want?" I gave my order clearly, but his dismissive tone continued as he repeatedly said, "And what else?" after each item, making me feel like I was inconveniencing him.
After placing my order, I pulled forward, becoming the third vehicle in line. A fourth vehicle soon arrived behind me, and I could still hear the clerk’s rudeness as he took their order. In fact, the confusion was so bad that the clerk returned twice to the speaker, mistakenly thinking the same vehicle behind me was a new customer, all while the line remained completely stuck.
By 7:25 AM, after 15 minutes of no movement, I gave up and left without receiving anything. The whole experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and a waste of time.
I may give La Coronela one more chance, but there are other breakfast spots that are friendlier, faster, and more organized—even if they’re a bit out of my way. A good breakfast isn’t just about the food—it’s about feeling welcomed and respected as a customer.
I hope the management at La Coronela addresses these issues and trains their staff to deliver the kind of service that keeps customers...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend went to try this place out over the weekend this past Saturday. The food was overall decent there minor things we wanted changed nothing too crazy (we ordered steak Gordita’s) .
However, my issue is that we caught the worst case of food poisoning from this restaurant. Which begs the question of how everything is being prepared/cooked.
Saturday after we ate we were fine. By Sunday night I was vomiting nonstop every 30 minutes to an hour, runs, chills/sweats. It is now Thursday that I’m finally able to recover , I had to go to an urgent care that’s how bad it was that the normal remedies didn’t work and needed stronger/better medication to help put everything to ease. My large intestine was so tender and sensitive from puking so much I couldn’t sit right, could stand right, couldn’t lay in certain positions. And now it has kicked in for my boyfriend yesterday the food poisoning he’s been vomiting , runs, chills/swears.
By far the worst experience trying a restaurant out for the first time. The only food we ate was this restaurant Saturday and Sunday - nobody else which leads us to believe the food poisoning came from the restaurant. I would not recommend as it could be a risk to...
Read moreI came here for early dinner. There was only one family eating here at the time, we sat down and then after us, another set of people came in. We were skipped, and then three more families came in. Although our order was taken second, we were not served our simple order till an hour later after everyone else who came in after us, was served. Lastly my compañeros' order wasn't served until very last probably because he was clearly not Hispanic looking like the rest of us. It was so rude. The rice also tasted like it was reheated in the microwave yesterday and the only good thing on the plate was the refried beans. We didn't eat the rice due to the e.coli or potential other bacterial growth. The stuffing on the gordita was rancid, so was the beef steak and so was the beef stuffing in the enchilada. Rancid. -star is what I would give this service. Lastly there was also a sketchy additional cost to every item on my receipt. I asked about it and they told me it was a credit card fee. Well thats what it should then state at the very end of the total, not a credit card fee per...
