I’ve been a customer for years, this is the first incident that escalated. I went in this afternoon and ordered for me and my family 2 guis tacos, 1 potato and egg, 2 potato and chorizo tacos. I went home and found they forgot to give me the 2 guisada. I went back (with the tacos) to the restaurant and the manager told me he was going to check the cameras I sat and patiently waited. He comes back out stating they in fact did give me the tacos. I am in disbelief (are they scamming me?) I told him they did not and I told him to give me the refund then and he can keep the tacos, he turned it around and said no I’ll just give you the tacos after going back and forth I told him I don’t want his tacos, it’s simple I would just like the refund but he instead gave me the other two tacos. So in the end why is he willing to give me tacos if I’m a lier and supposedly they gave me the tacos? If I was the owner and i in fact gave a patron the tacos why would I give them 2 more tacos??? Makes me wonder if they in fact saw they didn’t give me the tacos but wanted to play it off thinking I would just drive off like noooo especially when tacos are so inflated. They have done this before but thankfully I was in the drive thru and noticed they didn’t give me my other tacos. At the end of it all I will not be going back and I would recommend checking your bag before leaving the drive thru or they will call you a lier.

Who ever employed this individual to work at this restaurant needs to let her go this lady is a bad face and representation for this business. I come to this location because I admire the food they serve there. My order was incorrect multiple times and this lady said she could not redo the order that I’ll have to take the food as is. Like if the food was some type of used object when She said “as is “ She said she couldn’t give me a refund either. So basically i took food home that was not the correct order and I had no choice but to take it . I basically through away $30 dollars away. Because that food went to trash. So I’n other words I was robbed by this person and the business she works sadly to say allowed it to happen. I’m sick and exhausted that there is a lot of people like this individual all over San Antonio taking advantage of situation like these. Customer service is not like it used to be. Back in the 90s you had people take pride in their job. Loved going to work. But now these uneducated individuals don’t care about nothing. Always chit chatting with co workers and let the customers wait for an hr or more for a simple taco. Not to mention stealing company time. I don’t expect nothing to happen at this point. But I know definitely la Perla lost a customer. Because of this situation. Sad generation. only there for a paycheck. 👎👎👎

I wish that I would of read reviews before coming inside to eat here. Kiddos and I were hungry and I made the decision to stop at a new place instead of up the ways at our usual spot. These corn tortillas were looking raw or just nasty when given to us. The beans and rice look reheated and disgusting. My son told me his meat looked old and it did. The waiter spoke to me like I don't know what mexican food is. I'm Mexican American hun, I know what the difference between corn and flour tortillas are. This service and visit was just trash. We should have went to Taqueria Tapatio in New Braunfels they've NEVER let us down Wait until I speak to the manager to see what he says about his employee charging extra to put meat in beef enchiladas Then comes with different receipt with 2 different totals and look how many times she charged for paying supposedly with credit card

Their pork al pastor and carne guisada are amazing! Haven't tried much else cuz we are keto, but those dishes are keto friendly and incredibly delicious. They are also willing to sell just the entree so we don't have to waste all the food we can't eat cuz it isn't diet friendly (beans, rice, tortillas etc) which is AMAZING. It's hard to find restaurants that can accommodate a ketogenic diet at a great price with delicious food where we don't have to waste half of the meal or settle for tiny portions. Until we started visiting this place we thought the only diet friendly dish we could have at Mexican restaurants was fajitas. This was eye opening and I strongly suggest it for anyone following a keto diet. Also, it's wonderful that there are always bilingual employees to take our order. My fiance speaks Spanish but I do not and it is endlessly frustrating to us both when places don't have bilingual employees so he must always order for us. We don't have that problem here. Also, all of the employees we have interacted with (both languages) have been very kind and helpful. It's a small place but well worth many visits. Of all the Mexican restaurants we have tried in San Antonio (MANY) this place has been our favorite that offers keto options. We always get our food to go have have never eaten in...
