Weathered Souls surprised me from start to finish! I was expecting a typical micro brewery experience with nothing but overly hoppy IPAs and "complex" dark beers. That is not the case here. They have two of the best tasting and most balanced lagers I have ever had. Their Mexican style lager is beautiful, complex, rich, and smooth with tons of palate complexity that you should experience yourself. The lager was perfectly complemented by their brisket burger. The combination of the light and refreshing lager and the deep, rich, well seasoned burger on a fresh onion bun was exceptional. Luckily our visits have been on beautiful days so far, which only heightens the experience by allowing you to sit in their well designed patio. The warm sun, cold beer, and excellent burger left me wondering how quickly I would be able to convince my party to return. The experience was wonderful, the atmosphere is almost intoxicating as you enter and are engulfed in the robust smells of their operational brewery just feet away from the counter. If I had to say something negative about this place, it would be that you can safely skip their potato wedges. So far everything else has been more than worth the price for the quality and experience alone. I look forward to supporting this brewery for...
Read moreGood beer, I had the west coast IPA and the peanut butter no jelly, wow the pbnj was amazing and the food was excellent!
The partially bad part of the experience was a guy at the table next to us was splitting dip on the astroturf, right into the walkway. If he had sat at the other end of the table he could have spat into the bushes. I didn’t want to get in a fight and if the owners didn’t care then it’s not my place to either. So I figured I’d let them decide. Went up to the bar and mentioned the dip spitting to the barkeep. As I was talking the guy walked up behind me. Without missing a beat the barkeep handed him a cup with a napkin he was flustered and a little upset till she gave him a sample of one of the beers. He was nice enough to use the cup and made the rest of the evening far more pleasant. I talked to the barkeep as we where leaving and she said I have kids and dogs playing out there I don’t want that stuff. The guy never knew that I was the one who outed him. Because they care about the place I’ll be going back. Again great...
Read moreUpdate: I guess their kitchen contract is up since I was in (I think I ate back in October or maybe even September), and they are working on improving the food. Can't wait to try it!! Didn't mention it below, but the staff is very cool, and friendly.
Fun little brewery, they have games you can play, nice little outdoor area you can chill out with your dog. Beer is good, not my favorite. The only one that really stands out to me is their stouts, but my girlfriend really loves their IPAs. I would give it four stars for beer, but their food was pretty bland. The descriptions sound amazing, they use all the right words: bacon this, truffle that etc, but it was not very good. I know I have higher expectations when I order food, but it was pretty flavorless. Not sure if they make it fresh there, but I assume it comes in frozen (I hope). If you're looking for a baddass cook, hit me up, lol. Still a fun place to check out. I would just eat before...
