So I went to two different Mattress Firms and had two completely different experiences. The first store I went to I will probably never go back again. It was located in The Quarry off of Based Rd. I walked in with my Dad to a gentlemen who at first seemed helpful. I explained to him I was in a car accident and I had 3 herniated discs as a result. I explained I am doing a lot better but needed a new mattress to help alleviate back pain. At first he was all to eager to help but then I explained I'm planning on buying the mattress online his energy completed changed. He literally said Oh so you want me to do all of the work and then go by online. I work off of commission and this is how I feed my family. You're not even giving me an opportunity to earn your business. At that point his tone was so off putting that I explained but apart of your job is still to offer good customer service even if I do plan on buying online. What he did not know was he very well could have changed my mind into buying from him but because of his sub par customer service skills and trying to bully me into buying with him I did not want to do business with him. So I said well that's okay I will just go somewhere else. You have a good day and his response was Bye! With a very negative tone. Horrible customer service! This review is not for him! A couple of days later I happen to pass by the Mattress Firm on 281 and bitters. My Dad was hesitant to go in because of the first experience but something told me to go in! I walked in and I immediately said I hope this goes better than the last store I went into. This is when Samantha (Sam) said well today is your lucky day! I just sanitized the entire store. It's just you and me tell me what happened. At that second she had already earned my business. I told her what happened and she apologized for that other experience I had and explained ahe had been working for the company for 30 years and that she loved her job. Her energy was so pleasant and vibrant! She then said she understood me wanting to lay on the mattress before buying online. She took her time and showed me mattresses within my price range and even ones that were over my budget just so I could feel the difference and make the best decision for my back. She wasn't overly pushy and wanted to make sure I explored all of my options. She then suggested the adjustable base for the bed that's operated by a remote which would further help my back. She explained the specials they had and needless to say I left the store putting a deposit down on a mattress! $1000 memory foam mattress by Sleepy's for $400! I plan on buying the adjustable base as well when it is in my budget! For any of my future mattress/room needs I Will only go through Sam! Even my Dad was impressed and now wants to buy an adjustable base as well! I can't wait to get my mattress delivered. Thank you again to Sam! She was amazing! Hopefully I will be seeing her again soon! 10...
Read moreI contacted the KC store to find the exact mattress we purchased there thanksgiving week. After finding it, I called around the San Antonio locations which was a chore. The constant run around on if the exact Mattress was available in that particular location was exhausting, the experience was similar to dealing with a used car lot.I called the 281 & Bitters location, I placed on hold by Bri over 10 minutes, I called back she confirmed the mattress type & brand. She of course wanted me to purchase it ( trying to convince me to pick up from warehouse) she informed me she could hold the mattress which I did not, I informed her I would be driving straight there. I arrived at the mattress firm store 40 minutes later, I payed for my mattress, Then the paperwork which followed was ridiculous!!! Bri wanted a photo copy of my drivers license which I informed her I would not give her, bri informed me it was corporate policy for customers picking up items from the store. I didn’t experience the same privacy intrusion from the liberty Kansas City store nor the lacentera location. She called her boss twice the young lady ( Bri) was abruptly rude she switched her story from taking a copy of my drivers license to writing down my vehicle license plate number. What’s the corporate policy again? I wanna make new & potential buyers aware of this policy, is mattress firm selling customer information?? Bri was very rude & yelling at me when she loaded my bed in a box into my truck, I would caution people in letting mattress firm copying your drivers license for what?? I paid for my new mattress with cash. I felt I was treated very poorly by (Bri), very poor customer service skills & very poorly managed mattress firm at 281 &...
Read moreI needed to get a full-size mattress for a guest bedroom and after doing several Google searches and reviewing the options I settled on a visit to Mattress Firm.
I was greeted by a young lady by the name of Nicole. She was very helpful, informative, courteous, and obviously customer service oriented, not to mention professional.
I explained to her what I was looking for, and advised that I saw online they had a sale for a mattress that I was interested in and it showed that they carried it in stock.
She took me over to the demo area where I was able to try out several mattresses, and test the firmness to reconfirm my suspicions on mattress that I wanted to purchase. This process was very easy and efficient.
I selected my mattress, and we completed the transaction process within a few minutes. She was also able to set up my free delivery within a few minutes for next day service so that I could get my mattress as soon as possible.
After I was done, I decided to ask her some questions about other mattresses in the showroom in the event I needed to come back one day. I took the opportunity to get more educated about the newer mattresses that are being advertised on TV and I was not very knowledgeable about. Nicole was very helpful and informative.
I recommend that anybody seeking out a mattress to give Mattress Firm a try and seek out Nicole. I hope your mattress firm experience, at the Bitters & hwy 281 will be as...
