Christmas Gallery — Local services in San Antonio

I visited the Christmas Gallery for the first time today. I was initially set back from going after reading all the negative reviews but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. My first impression was a clean and presentable shop. All of their merchandise is very well organized and nicely displayed. They have product for every type of collector. They do have a variety of expensive items but I did not find them to be overpriced. In fact, one particular item was the exact same price that I had seen at another store. I went on a Friday and the store was not crowded and it was easy to walk around. I had no employees come up to me and hang in my hip pocket. Instead, I could shop leisurly without any interuptions. I purchased a couple of items which they needed to get from boxed new stock they had in the back. Before I made the purchases, the cashier opened each box to ensure the product was in tact and met my approval. I really like the fact they check because it protects the seller as well as the buyer. The cashier was friendly and knowledgable with the store procedures and products. I'm glad I didnt stick to the reviews and not visit this store because I had an overall nice experience and will return again in the future. This place is happy! If you want Christmas anytime of year, then this is the place to be. The music they play is charmingly nostalgic and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I know it's called Christmas Gallery, but this is more like Christmas Extravaganza! You have to experience this place in person. And if you like anything Department 56, then you have to see their elaborate and huge Christmas villages! Oh yes, their Christmas trees are adorned with a plethora of ornaments to suit every taste. Wowza!! That’s the only word I can think of for this awesome place! First time visiting and I was so pleasantly surprised at all that this store has to offer. Very deceiving from the outside but awesome once you walk through the doors. Halloween, Christmas, clothing, gifts, shoes, handbags, home decor, I can go on and on.
