I was hesitant to visit this location because I had a faint memory of visiting many many years back and I remember the food being really dry and not that flavorful. Anyway, I went this past time and to be concise the food was fine. I ordered the ribs with sausage and I must admit that the flavor was delicious and the ribs were made as properly as could be. Thumbs up on both food items. Beans were fine and the staff was friendly and just well behaved for a lack of better terms. They were fine as well. My rating is a 3 DESPITE the aforementioned politeness and helpfulness of the staff in combination with the cleanliness of the location during these COVID-19 times combined with how delicious and flavorful the food was, BUT it was a 3 because the price to pay for the most minimal amount of food simply does not add up. I felt like i was at a public gathering or event which served very limited amounts of food, free food, to accommodate for large amounts of people to eat. Like when you have limited supplies and so you get a small amount of food so that those after you can be rationed a portion as well. I had to chow down on my sister's beans that she left in order to be closer to a fulfilling meal which i was definitely NOT there for their beans.. Incredible. If that wasn't enough, which let's be absolutely frank, the most important things for a food seller is the taste and portion sizes, the price was a mockery of the food as well. Now, I am NOT myself a stingy spender when it comes to food... I enjoy a good meal and won't mind spending every cent the price for a treat, however the bill for 3 people was a large sum to pay to stand up from our tables with still a bit of an appetite on us. Not worth it. Did I enjoy the food? Sure, while it lasted. Would I recommend? I cannot not say I would... at least not without a proper disclaimer of...
Read moreRecently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant and wanted to share my overall experience. Let me start by saying that the ambiance oozes a delightful, traditional Texas vibe that truly adds to the charm of the place.
However, I do have a suggestion that I believe might enhance the customer experience even further. During my visit, I couldn't help but notice that some older patrons and larger groups seemed to be slightly rushed. As someone who values attentive and amicable service, I felt it important to bring this to your attention.
It is crucial for any establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction, especially when catering to different age groups and group sizes. *Encouraging staff members to take their time ensuring guests are comfortable, offering assistance with menu choices, and going that extra mile to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere would undoubtedly elevate the dining experience for everyone.
Please understand that this feedback comes from a place of genuine appreciation for your restaurant and the fantastic ambiance you have created. I believe that by empowering your staff to exhibit a more attentive and relaxed approach, you can further solidify your reputation as a welcoming destination for all.
Thank you for considering my feedback. I look forward to revisiting your restaurant and witnessing the continued growth of your...
Read moreOur waitress was wonderful, she went beyond the call of duty trying to make our visit pleasant because the bbq sauce tastes like vinegar, the beans had way to much pepper and taste like they had been warmed up in the pot all week, the bun for my brisket was hard on the edges as though it had been left out of the bag, my brisket was satisfactory but not enough to ask for 2nds. The bbq ribs were a big fail. They reminded me of those wax lips at Halloween and very tough. My loaded baked potato was good. The potato salad tastes like store bought HEB brand and the coleslaw was bland. Our waitress was magnificent and gave us an extra order of ribs she said was fresh off the grill, unfortunately they were just as bad as the first. I swear they microwave them sometime in the process of serving them. We gave them to our dog, and she wouldn't even eat them. We have not eaten here since 2015, we went today because we were given a gift card. We will NOT ever visit again! To our waitress, You were awesome! I felt bad for you, you tried so hard to make up for the bad food. The problem isn't you, the problem is in the kitchen. We left you a good tip for doing an...
