The food was pretty good. I ordered the Chile Relleno. It is made with ground beef and cheese and diced potatoes. It was also made traditionally, a large stuffed poblano with ya fried egg batter coat. (My favorite way) it was really good. I definitely recommend the flour tortillas. Those things were HUGE. My husband had the steak and enchiladas. He said it was okay. My niece had the the fajita quesadillas. She said she really liked them. Portions are pretty large. If you don’t have a large appetite, you could probably share a meal. I only ate half of my food. Customer service was okay. I went with a large group of 17. Our waitress did a great job of splitting the orders by groups as we ordered, saving time and eliminating confusion at the end. However, one person on our group accidentally gave their child the wrong dish and it sort of caused a huge moment of confusion where the waitress went through each ticket to really figure out where the mess up was. On the other hand, the cashier did a great job of accommodating us and was great at...
Read moreI hadn't been to Vicky's in what seems like ages but since I was in San Benito I decided to stop by on my way home. I think it's also fair to say it had even been longer since I had tried something off the lunch or dinner menu. I ordered the panchos con carne picado to go. The service was good and the restaurant was nice and clean . The panchos were good but lacked flavor. The tomato and avocado were a little too ripe as well. To some of you this may be just the way you like them but I prefer more flavorful meat and a little less ripeness for my veggies . Tomatoes and avocados don't taste good when they are overripe to some of us . Just a heads up on the panchos and hey maybe that just wasn't a good day to...
Read moreIf u r not satisfied with what u ordered u still have to pay for it. There is no option to order something else without paying for the first plate. My sister ordered a plate of asado, n it was salty as hell, but was told she had to pay for it n if she wanted to order something else she had to pay for that as well. So my sister was going to pay for 2 plates. I believe the customer should always be right, at the end we left n my sister ended up not eating, but did not have to pay for the plate, because she stood her ground of telling management the customer should always b right. This will b the last time we step foot inside Vickeys...
