Family Fish and Shrimp — Restaurant in San Bernardino

Man this little fish market surprised me so much I got a 5 piece Tilapia with a side of fries and 8 Fried Shrimp. I also got a 3 piece with a side of 6 hush puppies. Words cannot begin to describe how good this food was I was in shock everything had so much flavor. The tilapia was fried to perfection and had an amazing batter with a real nice crunch. The hush puppies were to die for I have never had hush puppies that good crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. The fries were seasoned well and the fried shrimp was perfection. I was genuinely surprised with how quick my food was made I was probably waiting inside for about 10 minutes. The gentleman who served me was very nice and had a welcoming personality. The store is definitely one of those hole in a wall place that looks kind of beat up on the inside and outside but it doesn't matter. The food was so good the atmosphere doesn't even matter. THAT CATFISH GAVE ME HORRIBLE DIARRHEA!!!!!!! I've been going here for many years, I love there fried red snapper and shrimp but the last time I went I decided to try the catfish which was ok but it had a weird after taste I can't quite describe that I didn't like very much. I didn't get an upset stomach or nauseated but I did get a case of very bad diarrhea about 3 hours later out of nowhere and the only thing I ate earlier was that catfish with the weird after taste so I know that was the cause so I will not try that catfish again nor would I recommend anyone else try it. I've eaten here many many times over the years and Ive never had this horrible experience before ever. The owner is a very nice man but I dont know where he got that catfish from but I do know I won't be getting food from there ever again NEVER !!!! He has lost a very loyal customer today. Family fish market has friendly service and fresh fish. The food is yummy, but unfortunately, they cut their fish, so it's not a whole piece of fish. I bought 2 family special #3 meals. One red snapper meal and one catfish meal. At 55 bucks a piece. I expected full fillets. But unfortunately, they slice the catfish down the middle, so it's only a strip of fish. Then the red snapper is cut in half wide/fat wise, so it's only half a piece. It's not cool, in my opinion. When I but fish and it states you get 4 pieces or 20 pieces of fish, I expect a full piece of fish. Not pieces cut, so you get more money for serving me less. I've never been to a fish fry that didn't give you a full fillet.

So I'm just warning everyone that the food is yummy, but don't expect a full piece...
