I dont typically review places on Google or Yelp, but this place deserves a review.
We have not been to try out Lamberto's since the change from Taco Bender, and we are kicking ourselves for waiting. We had the pork chile fries, an asada torta, and a chorizo breakfast burrito. ALL were delicious and the portions were great. We paid about $27 and will do so again in a heartbeat.
The torta was flavorful, fresh, and it made us think of places we would go to in LA. The chorizo breakfast burrito was exactly what I wish all others would be like. Most places have dry hashbrowns and hard scrambled eggs with very little cheese. This had cubed potatoes and the eggs were soft so all the flavors blended well with the melty cheese. As for the pork chile fries, a classic I am glad they carried over. Spicy, cheesy goodness. They are not crinkle cut, but delicious nonetheless.
Overall, Im so glad we stopped by and I hope others support...
Read moreThis is the hole in the wall place that you always hear about being some of the best food around that you hope you come across someday. The tacos and burritos are excellent but the star of the program is the pork chili verde sauce. There are hunks of pork which melts in your mouth. The flavor is just right, not too bitter, not excruciating melt-your-face-off hot, and not bland. They offer it on french fries, nachos, and as a sauce on a wet burrito that I've seen. It may be in more places on the menu but the fries and nachos are so good that I haven't really looked elsewhere on the menu for other applications. Lunch crowds and dinner crowds usually mean that you will wait a quite few minutes while the three ladies inside conjure up their magic but the wait is well worth it. They do take debit cards and I haven't had a problem on that front. Overall, it is great, messy, tasty food like you wish grandma...
Read moreHear me out. The food is very good; I usually get the verde nachos. However, the bad review is due to the lack of accommodation for their customers especially during this pandemic. I live far (over 20 miles), so when I order the nachos I always ask if the chips can be put to the side cause they will be soggy by the time I get home. This doesn't seem like a HUGE request ( I wouldn't even care of they put less toppings). They were able to do this for me a few times before but when the manager is there he refuses, even after I explain to him why I order it like this. I just don't understand why he cant just accommodate such a simple request, especially since the "dining" sitting area is closed off due to the pandemic so it's not like I can eat there (plus I order food for others at home). Anyways, due to this inconvenience I always think twice before I order food from there, cause no one likes...
