Time to give this place some tough love. I have been a customer for years and I return because the food is top notch. Having said that, glaring problems still exist.

They keep screwing up my sandwich. The problem stems more from the owner than the person making the food it seems. The owner would shout out the sandwich order with hopes of the correct sandwich being made. This method leaves a lot of room for errors especially when things get busy. I noticed that they sometimes write the order down and pass it along to the person making the food and that seems to be more successful but I still get the incorrect sandwich sometimes. They need to reorganize. I just don't want a certain item in a certain sandwich sometimes. It's not that complicated.

Customer service isn't terrible but could use an improvement. Instead of looking miserable all the time, a smile and a thank you...

Au Chau has best pork egg rolls in SD! Bahn Mi sandwiches all great and all at amazingly affordable prices. We get a party platter of eggs rolls for events and everyone always asks where they are from. We have ordered bahn mi sandwiches for events and parties too and you can cut them up and perfect for a large group of people to try a wide range of different sandwich ingredients.

I wish they had a vegetarian egg roll. It’s a small take-out counter so I gave them five stars for being able to see the food, cleanliness, and ordering quickly. Service is fast. Only cash though, and parking is limited, so be ready for that.

You won’t be disappointed. Family owned and operated. Never had anything I didn’t love from Au Chau.

They are super busy so food is always fresh. Egg rolls are normally available but for big party orders give them a call ahead and you’ll need to ask for...

Best Vietnamese egg rolls!! My mom makes the best lumpia/ egg rolls, and these are the only other egg rolls that I crave besides hers! These are unique and different from egg rolls you'd normally get at a pho restaurant. They are bigger with more meat, like lil fat dog egg rolls haha, and have a very crispy wrapper. I always get the dipping sauce for them. I usually get these to treat my coworkers, and they love them. I also order their meatball skewers as well as the spring rolls with meat and crunchy wrapper inside.

The owner(I assume) is very straightforward, not very talkative, but after going in a bunch he's become my dude! Parking can be a pain during mid day. They open early, so that's when I've been going. The store front is small, but has a couple of tables to eat at. Service is quick even if there is a...

nooells 5h Highlights ... Tuesday afternoon at 2pm: One tray of egg rolls and two hot food items only. Customer service ( if you want to call it that) was very dismissive. I was standing looking at the person at the counter. He is having a discussion about LA traffic as if I was invisible. I asked about additional hot items. He just said "no.... Get a sandwich ". I ask the price of the small egg roll. He reply's (not even looking my way " one dollar and 40". Maybe he was having a bad day. But that was about as bad of service I got from an annoyed woman ( apparently she was annoyed I asked for a menu. Then snatched it back when i handed it back) at the #songhuong across he street from #achau. Personally I feel there are way better and cleaner restaurants that are pleasant and actually want your business.

The egg rolls! These are one of my favorite snacks! I can taste the years of experience that it takes to make egg rolls this good. I found out about this place online. A Chau’s was voted one of the best places for egg rolls so I decided to test that theory. I went on a weekday. The parking lot was crowded and full so I parked at the restaurant next door and walked over to A Chau. There was a small line of about 4 people ahead of me. The line moves fast. There are lots of authentic food items to choose from but I just went with the egg rolls. You got 2 bumpy and 2 regulars. What’s the difference? The texture. The egg rolls are always fresh when I get them. They are well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I don’t know if there’s a sauce that goes to it. If so I’ve never had it.
