Look for the Tito Auto Body sign and the one pay phone left in the whole city and hats where you’ll find the food cart parked. Evenings only but closed Wednesday and Thursday. Weekends they are frying up some delicious churros and plantains. If you’re in the mood for one of these Mexican desserts these are fresh and taste authentic. They also sell bacon hot dogs, tamales, corn on the cob and corn in a cup a la Mexicano (lots of cheese, mayonnaise and hot sauce).

Very friendly and charismatic people running the cart. The menu is small and simple but they really have their food mastered. The churros are crunchy when you bite it but retain almost a bounciness on the inside. The street corn was also delicious. The fried plantains were also some of the best I've had. If you have a craving for some quality Mexican street food this is the place to go.

This place is amazing! We go here a lot of weekends and love the churros and plantains. Their churros are 7 for $3 and plantains are $4 for a container, and they are amazing. They have other food too but we haven't had any of it yet. We definitely love this place and will continue to go here as long as we can.

I was looking forward to trying the tacos de vapor for a few days as this place was recommended to me at a taco place I go to (which is good), we went and we ordered a bunch of stuff, tacos, hot dog, tamal and churros. Everything was horrible and even made us sick. The tacos de vapor were not even tacos de vapor. It was like a taco with grease on it and the stuffing was flavorless, but dogs were half done & bread was stale, churros were mid, like hardly any sugar and no canela, the tamal was the only thing that actually had some flavor but even then the masa was like the one they make with water & was super thick. Honestly don’t go here, not worth out 50 Dollie’s and a stomach ache….. I leave this only to encourage the “el Tigre” to make better food, if your lucky enough to have a food establishment and your already putting in the work, why not make something decent for your clients ? As Latin people they really did us a disservice with this food, come on guys...

The wife and I have been craving churros ever since coming to San Diego, you can catch a whiff of it pretty much wherever you go, which is a constant reminder of that craving. We were dumb enough to give in and buy some while walking through Balboa Park ($6 for one measley stick).

In contrast to that, we stopped by here one night, paid for 2 orders of churros. And I see the dude crank 16 churros into the fryer. I figured "no big deal he's just preparing for the next customers. Nope, $5 for 8 freaking churros, you just can't beat that. The tamales and hot dogs are...

I was visiting San Diego and wanted some churros. This was the only place with 5 stars and reviewed for its authenticity! I was expecting a brick and mortar store but its almost like a hot dog stand. I called and they directed me to park in the alley. They were super friendly, I ordered the corn elote and double order of churros. He hand cranked the churros into the oil and it was very good. Nice quiet diverse neighborhood, would definitely return. I do think their menu...
