Gotcha Cafe San Diego — Restaurant in San Diego

Great little cafe serving some of your boba favourites. Coming from Canada I was missing some brown sugar boba with fresh milk as it was all the rage before we came to visit and Gotcha Cafe was one of the few places that offered it. And let me tell you, they nailed it. The brown suagr boba was aldente, it had the right amount of sweetness, the milk they added was fresh and cold. Because they had it in a cup that had a lid that you can sip and use a straw on, you could adjust the levels of sweetness from the drink accordingly (use the straw for sweet -- sip if you want milk). So, if you're looking to get some brown sugar boba so satify that craving you got from that facebook video, come here. You won't be disappointed.

They have a great location, close to the freeway, great staff, great decor in the store (with that grammable aesthetic if you know what I'm sayin'). It definitely a place I can see myself just chillaxing in if I wasn't a Canadian visiting family, going to a million differences places to just to eat and drink as many things as I could.

I guess the only downside is that if you're gonna get the heart cup, be prepared for leaks. We have not yet mastered the heart shaped liquid containers as opposed to the highly efficient cylindrical cups.

I stopped by Gotcha Coffee and ordered their Brown Sugar Milk Tea 🧋and let me just say, it was perfection. The tea-to-milk ratio was flawless, rich and smooth without being too sweet or bland. Not watery like most places! And the boba? 🤌 Just the right texture soft, chewy, and fresh. You can tell they really care about quality here.

But the real MVP of the night was Lynn 💫. I was there from 6–8 PM and this girl was running the whole show register, drink-making, delivering orders all while answering everyone’s questions with so much grace and patience 🙌. I know I asked too many questions 😅 and not once did she seem annoyed. Her professionalism, hustle, and warm attitude were genuinely inspiring.

👏 Kudos to you, Lynn! You’re the definition of stellar customer service. Gotcha Coffee is lucky to have you, and I’ll definitely be back...

Gotcha café is highly popular among fans in Taiwan. I was excited to give it a try with a friend. I really liked the ambiance. It uses the cute animal as a main theme. We were really impressed by the ambiance. It's centered around an adorable animal theme. You can relax on the sofa with cozy cushions. What a delightful experience!

I ordered the Taro boba tea, my go-to whenever I visit a boba tea spot. They use top-quality ingredients, ensuring the boba tea is super fresh and delicious. I can even customize the sugar level to my liking. Plus, they offer an extensive range of flavors to choose from.

The service was exceptional. When we wanted to take a few selfies in front of the wall art, the manager went above and beyond by coming out and turning on the big light for us to capture the perfect picture.
