McDonald's — Restaurant in San Diego

Modern McDonald's with the typical amenities. Nice, cozy, remodeled atmosphere that's inviting. The dirty floors and litter in the bathroom, along with the dirty tables keep this rating down. If they cleaned up this restaurant the ratings would be higher.

Update November 2019: the restaurant looks nice with it's new Remodel and looks very modern. There are kiosks to order food and mobile ordering through the app is also accepted here. They have Wi-Fi as well. A major problem here is that hours of operation as they are not open late night or 24 hours. This McDonald's is conveniently located by the border. The convenience of this location is pretty high and there is plenty of parking spaces. Another flaw with this restaurant is that they only have one stall in the men's restroom. And the ladies room tends to form a line during times when they are busy. During the remodel of this restaurant they should have redesigned the restrooms to add additional stalls. The men's restroom stinks and that's because of all the men using the toilet facilities. You would assume that because of the location of this McDonald's that they would design it with better restrooms having more stalls to accommodate its customers. One last note, there is outdoor seating but it doesn't look like it's covered. They should have the tables covered with umbrellas or a covered patio. There is no play place at this location but I wouldn't expect one here because this is a travel type of location where people stopped to get a bite to eat while traveling to and from the border.

I have to give this location to Stars mainly because of the amenities. It's a poor design when they built this restaurant. They should have known because of its location that there would be a lot of traffic and a lot of people expected to use the restrooms. The accommodations are terrible with one stall in the men's room and I'm pretty sure limited stalls in the ladies room as well. I'm giving this location 2 stars because of the amenities. People expect more at McDonald's and because of expectations either have to keep them or...

The food was fresh there was some mix up with my order though. I ordered a McDouble plain I did get one but also a second one which I didn't order that had ketchup and onions on it. I ordered a 6 piece chicken nuggets, they were deliciously fresh, but I was asked which dipping sauce I wanted, I confirmed Ranch, they put it on the receipt, even, but I didn't get any. I also ordered a small fry no salt, perfectly done, exactly as I ordered. Would have liked some ranch to dip them in, though. I didn't order a drink, I was given a Coca Cola (that was a nice surprise to get a complimentary drink) But, they didn't give me a straw to drink it with! I used the drive through and was trying to make my way home from work. Kind of impossible to drive and even if parked, have to put everything else down in order to peel a lid back in order to be able to take a drink... They didn't skimp on napkins, though, which was much appreciated as I am a messy eater!! Kudos on that! Arrive at the location; the location is very dirty there is urine outside of the restrooms all over the place the paper is not well stack there is a foul order inside of the restrooms.After using the restroom I placed an order. once I placed the order there was a Sunday included they gave me the Sunday halfway full. I request more ice cream they denied 3 times they call the manager and the manager followed to do the same thing, even though I mention I could pay more money for the product she denied even though it was requested several times. I left the product there and she was very rude. I understand there is procedures but once a customer is requesting something there is ways to handle. She could of mentioned the procedure and said but for this time we will do it for you. The problem is the attitude she was giving me and how she reacted for a simple request.
