My family and friends have always enjoyed the delicious custom made sandwiches, the friendly courteous staff, and the comfortable atmosphere. HOWEVER, tonight I experienced the worst customer service I've ever had, anywhere! It was actually a very unexpected, really strange experience. The two employees NEVER smiled. Not once. I entered the shop, smiled and said, "Hello, how are you?" Neither of them said anything. No response at all, except a frown from both of them the entire time. While I ordered the sandwiches, not once did either of them show any sign of politeness. Neither of them even said, "Thank you". I actually had an uneasy feeling from them. As I left I said, "Thank you! Have a nice evening." Their response was DEAD SILENCE. Whatever their problem was, they need to realize that being that rude to a customer has no place at Submarina. Amazing sandwiches! I’ve been there three times since they opened. I’ve missed Submarina so much, reminds me of my childhood. I haven’t seen one around in ages so I was stoked to see this one pop up near me. I love that they have the three sandwich style options: sub, deli, or wrap. I love rye bread and not many places have it these days but they do! I’m looking forward to many lunches here in the near future (maybe even today) and hopefully to seeing more Submarinas around than Jersey Mikes or Subway which you can get literally anywhere. The staff at this location are very genuine. They made sure to go above and beyond with my experience. From being quickly greeted upon entry, to touching all the basics when ordering, even suggesting a cheese that I’d never usually order with this particular sandwich, which I ended up loving! You can tell that who ever is doing the hiring knows how to pick the good ones. Fantastic sandwiches, as well. The bread is so fresh and just the right amount of density. The ingredients were all super fresh. I really like that their veggies are fresh, chilled to keep nice and fresh and crisp - just the way veggies should be… other sandwich shops could learn a thing or two from this gem of a sandwich shop classic.
