Awful experience and horrible follow up from the ownership of the Mira Mesa location. As a retail manager up and down San Diego for 20+ years, I’ve seen more than my share of poor customer interactions from both sides of the counter. The incident was absolutely unprovoked or warranted! The employee was hostile, angry, and agitated; Clearly unfit to be dealing with the public. Upon my girlfriend trying to order he began to get overly frustrated and slamming things around. He started to mutter and curse under his breath. His body language and actions were unsettling and aggressive in nature. Mind you, all she did was try to order food…as we turned to leave he continued to speak nonsense mixed with obscenities. The other employee just stood there and said nothing.
After submitting a comment on Yelp, Google, and through the company website, the owner, Lamia Jemili, responded apologizing for the poor customer service and that he was in training and has been warned? This is far beyond a customer service issue and the fact he’s new has no bearing on his volatile actions. She then has the nerve to offer 2 free bowls to come back?? No thank you. Not ever. You obviously condone this behavior from your staff and have no concept on what it takes to be successful in the service industry.

Read more1st time, I ordered a small bowl for pickup online and showed up 10-15 minutes after food was to be ready and they hadn't even realized I ordered. 2nd time, I ordered online delivery to my house before I got off work and when I get home half of the order I paid for wasn't even in the bag. Which resulted in me being told to come in and they will give it to me. I don't mean to be rude but I was very busy the next day and driving to that location just to get part of yesterday's order wasn't really in the cards or worth it.3rd time, I ordered online pickup again, a small bowl, and showed up 10-15 minutes later than my bowl was to be ready. AGAIN it was slow inside yet they hadn't even noticed there was a couple online orders that had been placed. Seems like the same 3 middle aged workers, I'll leave it at that in to avoid the cancel culture mob, were working that I had seen on my first attempt.
