My other friend was off from work late at night yesterday on July 3rd, 2017, so we decided to go to Cortixans for some late night dinner at around 22:00 (10pm). We ordered 3 California burritos with chicken and no pollo (I think tomato because pollo is Spanish for chicken) for about $22. It was a busy night with 4 cars waiting in front of me when I arrived and perhaps 2 or 3 more on the other side of drive thru. Note that you can come in whichever direction and you'll see the drive through. There were also some tables filled with some people eating. Anyways, the chicken and cheese was good. However I think I should have left the veggies there and not listen to my friend. I felt they gave the same portion amount of meat in and I liked veggies. The fries was okay though, they are not crispy. They get kind of soggy fast. Other than that, it was a good burrito. I can not complain. I had carne asada fries before here the previous times and I can say that the fries are okay too. It is not the best, but not that bad. The service here was okay. Once a guy from the kitchen came up and handed the order to me, asked me if I paid. I replied and said "Si". He was looking at me weird. Then he was asking me if I wanted any sauce, I said okay. Then he said thank you. I said "muchos gracias and muy amable". Yes, I said that and he gave me a look. I laughed it off as I caught him by surprise that I am able to converse in Spanish. I don't know why they do not want to speak in Spanish to me when I am inviting them to. Overall, I still do come here for the convenience of late night option to eat here. They open 24 hours/7 days a week. I think it is average for everything here, but it is better than some options out there.

Awful experience today. I was really disappointed with my food at Cotixan Mexican food today, and I’m feeling quite frustrated with myself! I could have easily gone to at least two other fantastic Mexican restaurants within a mile, but I was nearby and decided to give this place a chance. After waiting a few minutes, someone finally took my order at the drive-thru. I asked if they were open, and when I pulled up to the window, I noticed a gentleman who seemed to be a cook had taken my order. He handed the headset to the girl who processed my payment and gave me my food. The service was decent, given our brief interaction, but unfortunately, the food was a letdown. I ordered three rolled tacos for less than seven dollars and added a side of rice and beans for an extra five dollars. I was really hungry, and rice and beans are my favorites from most places! I placed my order at 10:08 AM, and here’s what I found when I got my food: the rice had clumps, some parts were burned, and it was dry and hard. It was clear that this rice wasn’t made today—I couldn’t finish more than two bites! The beans were also dry, and the cheese on them didn’t look appealing at all. The rolled tacos were okay, but the guacamole was brown, and there was more cheese than flavor. I ended up eating just two rolled tacos and had to discard the rest of the food in the broken box. I was in a rush and didn’t have time to go back for an exchange, but honestly, I just couldn’t. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here to eat if I can help it!

If I could give this place a zero I would and it’s solely based off of customer service. I Was berated and harassed by staff over their mistake of giving me regular fires and not asada fries. I called ahead before coming back and the guy in the picture below said he’d just swap the order without the receipt. Upon my arrival he yelled at me and lied about the phone call then aggressively threw the fries away. I left with no refund or asada fries so they basically stole my money because they felt as a black woman I couldn’t ask for the correct order. Sad I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and have never felt so much discrimination and anger for just asking for a correction. This is a racist establishment if you are black save your money! Pictured below with thumbs up is the racist employee who continued to make sure I was not helped, threw away my fries, yelled at me and did not refund me. I basically got scorned and profiled over damn fries.

BEWARE!!! Bad customer service since new location. Always loved this place, food is great but will never go back. Went through drive thru recently. Ordered and drove up to pay, the lady "Lizbeth" I believe charged my credit card twice, so I asked why, she responded "Did u look at you reciept!", I said yeah but you charged twice so now I get charged twice for $.50 service charge! She said " look at your receipt!" I told her it doesn't show up cause u guys don't put the extra charge on", we went back and forth si I said get me a refund! She gave me cash, so I asked her if this was correct amount I should recieve since there was extra charges for service fee? She jus said "Did you count your money!" I said how can I know what amount I'm suppose to get back when you took reciept and don't even know what amount to refund? I ask for a manager" A guy came up "Rafael" said I will make it easy and give u free food. I said I'm not here for free food, I want the correct amount refunded. He didn't know the amount and looked confused as if he didn't know how to add. I asked 3 times if this was the correct amounts? He didn't know, So I jus took whatever they gave me and left because I was holding up the drive thru line for too long. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICR. Lastly, I called the 24 hour customer care number and talked to I thought was the main guy, he said only he answers the phone and was apologetic, and said many complaints have come in about that store and that he will make sure it doesn't happen again. He said he will call me back to update me on what's being done, well its been 3 days now. Apparently they don't care enough about one customer because they have thousands. Hope you all check your accounts for double charges, and ask for the actual reciept that shows the service charge and not trust the food reciept that diesnt show service charge, because they can talk on whatever charge...

So I’ve been going to this location for a long time, even before the new location and I used to go when I at work on the ambulance for this area. Always loved their food, and their service. Probably one of my favorite go to places for Mexican food for me and my brother so I hate to complain but twice now, same cashier, had been rude to us while taking our order and at the window. She had a bad attitude, we had to correct her after she gave us the wrong order and even told us we were wrong. Then gave us the right order(which was still wrong) without our drink that we confirmed twice at the intercom where she sounded upset we were ordering and said we never ordered it and rudely asked if we still wanted it. When we got home, I ordered a California burrito, and 3 rolled tacos with guacamole and sour cream but received a machaca burrito and the rolled tacos with guacamole. There was also an order of just beef on the receipt which might be something they put that I don’t understand but just a still upset that they let this lady be so rude to people and give wrong orders out when I love this place, their food and the rest of the staff there. She is giving this place a bad name and needs to be somehow disciplined. I’ve never written a review but this was just so upsetting because I love this restaurant and would like to let management know that it is a problem. I’m sorry for the one star and I’d take it down if something is to be done, but I’ve never been so upset at an experience like this for a place I really enjoy going to. Drive thru at...
