If there was one thing we could have changed about our wedding, we would have gone with a different venue. Getting married at Aracely was the worst decision we made, my husband and I wish the experience hadn’t been so negative.
When my husband and I booked Aracely as our venue, it wasn’t made clear to us that the owner would be handling all the communication. Our emails consistently went unanswered for days, and forget about calling. You have to call the restaurant, which never made a difference, considering we were always told to wait for an email response. This made the planning process immensely stressful, as we never got timely responses, even to time sensitive questions.
We hoped that the communication would improve as our wedding date grew closer, and unfortunately it did not. We arranged for our rentals to be booked through the venue, and at one point were quoted almost double the price for a dance floor, compared to what was initially quoted. After questioning the owner, Linda, on this, she tried to brush off the pricing difference. Ultimately, she did honor the original price, but only after us bringing attention to this discrepancy multiple times. The dance floor was filthy from the moment that it was installed on our wedding day. We also rented turf for the outdoor area, and it had huge lines of tape in the middle. We would have been better off foregoing the rentals, the state they were in wasn’t acceptable.
During dinner on our wedding day, we were informed that the venue wouldn’t be cutting the cake, because we hadn’t paid for it. We had already asked Linda weeks before to invoice us for the cake cutting, which she failed to do. The last thing we expected was to be asked for a credit card, during the middle of our wedding. There were multiple other hiccups that occurred, both during the rehearsal, and the wedding day itself. Maria, the manager on site the day of, was doing her best, which we appreciated. It is clear that Linda fails to communicate to her staff, which creates numerous problems. Our poor coordinator was running around, and the lack of communication created fires for her to put out, that could’ve easily been avoided. The table our immediate family was sat at ended up getting served their entrées after all other tables had already finished theirs. Having to worry about all of these avoidable issues during our wedding made it very hard for us to be present during the day.
We are shocked that Aracely is still in business, with the way that we were treated during the entire process. We can’t help but think about how different, and less stressful things could have been, had we gone with a competent wedding venue. When looking back on our wedding day, we do feel a bit of sadness over some aspects, that were ruined because of Aracely. We’re leaving this review in the hopes that future couples can avoid the heartache...

When we called earlier they said last seating would be at 3:30, and when we got there they said take out only, to which we replied that we called and they told us 3:30. The host reluctantly gave us the table by the corner after mentioning that. On the plus side, the decor was nice and the seats were comfy.
After a bit, we got water served in a wine bottle with two empty glasses. Upon pouring out the water, a dead fly comes pouring out. We mentioned this to the server and she brought us a new one but she seemed to brush it off as not a big deal, when cleanliness should be key in this time of pandemic.
Next, we had a view of the kitchen. We noticed multiple cooks/back of house staff not wearing masks, wearing masks dangling from their ear, on their chin, or completely taking it off as soon as they “thought” they were out of customer’s sights. This is very unsanitary considering they are the people prepping out food and the fact that they’re just breathing/coughing all over our food with no face covering. There was even one young man who appeared to be an employee who was socializing with his coworkers in view of everyone in the main dining area with no mask over his face, it was tucked below his chin.
Next, I found a small bone in what’s supposed to be a boneless roast chicken sandwich. Luckily I’m not a kid, and didn’t choke on it.
Upon mentioning all this to the “cashier”, she did nothing to remedy the problems, again just brushing it off like the server. I also saw the cashier take off her mask as she entered the back. She didn’t even offer a discount for the meal. When I asked what are you guys going to do about this situation, she replied with “what do you want me to do about it” in which I replied with “you should make sure staff wears masks at all times”
Also, not once did anybody check up on us after seeing our meal.
Food was subpar, tastes okay but was really simple, French toast crossiant tasted nothing special, and the roast chicken in the sandwich tasted like it was from the...
Read moreCame here for brunch this morning. (+) Cute location on Treasure Island. Nice outdoor seating area, dog friendly, also very nice decor inside. (+) $16 bottomless mimosas. At $8 for an individual mimosa, this is quite a good deal! (+) Pork belly pancakes - moist, good condiments and sauce on top, although I think the pork belly was a bit lost on me to be honest. (-) Oysters - $2.50 per half shell, a bit overpriced and I think they could have been seasoned better. (+/-) Avocado toast with duck carnitas - lots of avocado toast for the money! Avocado was fresh, duck carnitas were good. The fried chickpeas, however, were cold and soggy. Not good. Would order them without. (+/-) Bison burger, add egg and bacon. Was good, egg was cooked well, buns were good, but we ordered the bison medium rare and it came out well done. The potatoes that came with the burger were warm and crisp though, so that was yummy. (-) Bacon and chive waffles. Super dense, not fluffy. The short rib that it came with did not go well with them - it was like having two separate dishes on my plate - not congruous at all. The short rib was almost stew-like and came with zucchini and carrots. Was weird.
Overall, a little disappointing. Though I really appreciate the outdoor space and the fact that it has brunch food, I think going forward if I find myself looking to eat or drink on Treasure Island I would go to...
