I think there’s a lot of potential here for a wonderful neighborhood spot however it’s not quite there yet. It’s not the type of place that I would want to stay for a long time but that’s fine because it’s not trying to be a trendy SF coffee shop—it’s more of a neighborhood bodega style place, which is fine, but the food leaves something to be desired. Having come from NY where the breakfast sandwiches are fresh and amazing, the one I got here was microwaved and frankly, flavorless. I was just passing through the area and Google maps threw this coffee shop at me. I always try to go to the independent coffee shops instead of the chains. I ordered an almond milk latte, the coffee was sublime with a good strong flavour. The lady behind the counter told me they had croissants which I immediately said yes to. It was warm and fresh and everything a croissant should be. Later on I passed through the same area and stopped again for a breakfast panini.
