When we searching the internet for reasonably priced hotels in Pasadena, BEST INN popped up and since it had good reviews, we booked it for 2 nights on our recent stay over a weekend. we were surprised to learn that it was located in Rosemead and it was actually "Chinatown" with many Chinese restaurants to dine. The hotel had ample parking space and the room assigned to us was on the upper level. It was spacious and clean with good king sized bed. One of the table lamps on the bedside table was not working and I switched the bulb from the writing desk as we were not using that side of the room. The shade of the same table lamp had a small tear but not really visible unless one had an observant eye, and the shade on the lamp on the desk had some graffiti. The owner provided instant coffee and green tea sachets with an electric kettle in the room and coffee in the Reception area. This was a nice touch! There was a hairdryer and a fridge but no microwave. The towels (2 baths, a hand and 2 face) were in good condition and were adequate to us. Read moreI was nervous at first reading some reviews, but once I stayed my 1st night with family, I really liked this place. Customer service was excellent. The room was clean, sheets clean, bathroom clean, and no bad odor. I was at peace once I realized how safe the area was and they have hotel lookouts for the safety of your vehicle. Any little noise, the lookouts will be outside to check. I recommend this hotel. Room 103 is nice. The microwave is in the office....
