Parking is not too hard to find and i was able to grab a spot right around the corner. This was a business lunch and it definitely turned out to be amazing.

We ordered the Pasta ( vegetarian) and pasta with jumbo prawns alongwith the Salmon (with veggies) a Kabob combo platter and a Chicken kebab order which happened to be for about 4-5 folks on the table.

Having been a regular at the now-closed Sunnyvale location of Faz Restaurants & Catering, I had high expectations for their San Jose branch, which opened post-COVID. However, my recent experiences there have been underwhelming, especially when compared to the cherished memories of the Sunnyvale establishment.

The most noticeable aspect where the San Jose location falls short is in the authenticity and flavor of its food. It lacks the distinctiveness that made the Sunnyvale location a standout. Particularly disappointing was the bread service, which once featured deliciously flavorful oil, making it a highlight of the dining experience. Sadly, this signature offering at the San Jose branch doesn't hold the same appeal, lacking the unique taste that I fondly remember.

This change in quality leads me to question whether the same passion and standards that drove the Sunnyvale location are present in the San Jose branch. I have been to this restaurant about 5 times, mostly a popular place for company get togethers. The venue is excellent for large gatherings. Yes they have a bars with variety drink selections. So if you want a nice place with food that everyone can enjoy, Mediterranean style with a bit of Persian influence then this is a place to come. They also have pizza which is average when it comes to flavor. No wow factor in the pizza. The ingredients are good and fresh. The service is good. The food in terms of flavoring and execution is average. I have had much better kebabs in many other Persian or Afghani restaurants throughout the bay area. The marination is simpler and blander in flavor than other places I have been to. But, the quality of the ingredients is good. They have good starters and finger food for those who want to just have something light and drinks in a group.The menu is balanced and does have some good selections for everyone to try. Do I crave to go to this restaurant for the food ever? Never but if I had no where else to go , yes I would come here to eat as a viable option.
