5 Stars Incredible flavor, generous portions, and unbeatable value! My friend and I recently visited Halal Gyro Express, and it was easily one of the best food decisions we’ve made in a while. We ordered the chicken and lamb over rice along with their special fries (I forgot what they’re called, but they were amazing—crispy, well-seasoned, and totally addictive). From the very first bite, we could tell this spot is the real deal.
The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned with a nice kick that wasn’t too overpowering. The lamb was tender and savory, cooked just right, and paired beautifully with the fluffy, fragrant rice that soaked up all the sauces like magic. The fresh salad on the side added a great crunch and balance to the dish, making every bite feel complete and satisfying.
You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food—the flavors were on point, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were super generous. Plus, the prices were surprisingly affordable considering how much food we got. It’s the kind of meal that hits the spot and leaves you planning your next visit before you even finish eating.
The service was quick and friendly, even with a few people ahead of us. Overall, Halal Gyro Express is a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing more friends along to experience it too. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check them out....
Read moreI totally like the food in this place. It's very helpful that all the items on the menu are pictured on the wall and ordering becomes super-easy. This place is in the Nicholson Plaza and stays open till 10. Most of the Afghan/Middle Eastern/Greek cuisine places shut down early by 9 or the ones that stay open late at night are pretty crowded. This place is not a full service restaurant with table service and fine dining experience but it compensates for that with the wonderful taste of the food and the good price for it. I tried out this place around 9 pm on a Wednesday night with most of the tables empty and only a couple of people eating there. I ordered a plate of 1 chicken kofta and 1 chicken tikka and my wife got herself 1 lamb kofta and 1 chicken kofta. Both the plates come with rice, salad and a bread piece. We got our food in 10 minutes and loved the taste of it. The meat was succulent and the aroma was amazing. The interior is not superbly well maintained but I can totally overlook that for the taste of the food. Another good option may be take-out if you don't like the ambiance inside. I saw a lot of take-out orders while we were there. Clearly this would be one of my...
Read moreLove that place,, Especially moving from NYC to california last year so i was really missin that gyro touch as in california every where taco and burrittooss.. keep it up and staff is so friendly.. love that hot sauce too😋. Above comment was 5 years ago. Since then i have visited that place so many times and the experience from yesterday forced me to edit my review. Problem with this restaurant is that there is no consistency in terms of food taste, presentation or quality. Yes ambience is always good. But having so many disappointing visit i still come to this place only because of halal food. If i would say 3 out of 10 times i can get good food. Yesterday was horrible food was cold. Chicken tikka masala used to be creamy but yesterday was just like curry and lamb over rice was horrible. I understand employee in and out but please atleast try to maintain the taste and quality. Addition to two call that i made to let them know my experience i felt that i time to edit my review. If owner is there for sure food always good. After all this i would still come back just in a hope to have good food. Only halal makes me coming...
