Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in San Jose

Managers are super rude. Especially the one that denied my discount receipt (it happened on 082825; 9:30+ pm.). She needs to be terminated. She claims that she saw me the other day which is a lie. I haven't been in that place for 2 weeks. When I told her to look at the date of the receipt, she read it as 081525. I ended up leaving the place. I will never support that place of Popeyes on Capitol Expressway. My whole family will not support these kinds of environments and attitudes/acts towards customers. The place is dirty, greasy, no napkins, you have to ask always and they'll give you 2 napkins, the bathroom is super smelly and very bad (brown poop on floor and on the tpilet seat; terrible smells). I bet they don't clean it as often. The tables are oily. The floor, I almost slip few times. Will always tell you only 1 sauce per customer, but gave some to those they think are prestige looking people. Too much haughty eyes/proud look. Bad practices on those 2 manager. Barbara i like, but these 2 are super nasty (one in the morning and the one that denied my discount receipt). The employees (new ones) including manager (the healthy one in the morning) not only rude, but acts as if she owns the place.

Been coming to this location a few times a year. This last time was quite a disappointment to say the least. They cut you out chicken pieces and give you a very small piece that is barely even a full size of a drumstick! I ask for a regular size as I did pay for a 4 piece combo and the cashier tells me “ sometimes the pieces come that way”. This is the best you can be told and have no other option but to pay the expensive cost and be give a miniature size piece for the price you pay. Next, the one female working there touches her nose as if she is wiping her nose and then proceeds to handling food without washing her hands! Quite disgusting! We ate inside and sat by the window by the drink machine, the flooring is absolutely filthy, tables are unkept and child high chairs are not cleaned. The food is decent but service from yesterday’s manager was quite unprofessional. The store had at least 5 or so people in the front near the counter packing the meals, including the manager. The store had plenty of staff in the front to help waiting customers but the manager seemed to be too busy chatting and laughing away with her friend in the front while packing food, instead of helping out waiting customers. Finally, one of the more experienced staff realized I was waiting for some time and helped out. In this case, I don’t blame the several associates in the front for the wait time, because the manager set a poor example of not acknowledging customers and chatting away with staff. Very unprofessional. Additionally, I saw an associate touch their phone at the front near where food was being handled, that’s quite unsanitary.
