Rollo's Donuts — Restaurant in San Jose

I just want to say that I have been going there for so many years and enjoy their donuts. Lately I've noticed they don't have enough donuts and they always assume you will buy the same thing all the time. As soon as you walk in sometimes they say hi and they make a face when you say no to what they want to prepare. Also they don't mention there is a price difference in ordering a dozen donuts when they run out on small size. I experienced this one morning which they only had big size donuts and I ordered a dozen . Of course price wasn't mentioned and found out a big difference upon paying. I asked to only get half a dozen and apologized for not knowing . The owner made a face and it seemed she never accepted my apology and I didn't feel the same customer service I used to receive. I feel they only care about selling and not about customer service. The owner and her employees act the same way. If they don't hear a yes on to what they offer their face...

I’ve been here several times now since moving to San Jose, though it’s mostly because it’s just a few blocks away and therefore the closest donut shop.

The donuts are solid! Tasty but nothing special. The reasons for only 3 stars: -they’re a bit on the pricey side. I pay more here than anything I’ve ever had to before

-the coffee is mediocre. Fine if you don’t have other options but otherwise meh

-they always run out very early. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see them doing well, but they regularly run out many hours before closing. I visited just now at 9 AM and they’re already completely out of donuts with only a few croissants left. That can’t be good business to be out so early all the time and it always discourages me from wanting to visit at all

I was in the area & googled donuts which led me to Rollo's! I found parking to be difficult on a Sunday morning. There was no street parking, across the street is a nice field area where people had a soccer game & playing tennis so of course limited parking there, but I ended up finding a spot and it was a nice little walk needed for the donut consumption.

The inside is super casual, good amount of inside seating. The staff were so so nice, super friendly service, very welcoming and didn't feel rushed when I was looking at all the donut options.

The donuts were so incredible!!! Soooo tresh, and light and not too doughy. My favorite was the cake donut with strawberry icing & rainbow sprinkles. l'll def be back here, loved the outside vibe too in the neighborhood, very peaceful...
