Sizzler — Restaurant in San Jose

ell I guess it's time to stop going for dinner at one of my favorite places- Sizzler! They have now taken off steak and all-you-can-eat shrimp from their menu. They took the chicken wings out of the salad bar. But you can buy them as an add-on! Soon the taco bar, the soup and pasta will all be offered and add-ons at a separate price. Too bad greed had superseded customers. My daughter went there for dinner tonight and couldn't even get her steak cook correctly. It's been several months since I've been to Sizzler and I was not disappointed. First time I ordered only an entree instead of just the salad bar. The steak and lemon herb chicken entree was delicious and perfectly keto! Our waitress was super attentive and provided complimentary chicken wings and cheese toast upon request. The drinks and Sundae bar are self service so she just made sure we had enough plates bowls and napkins throughout our stay. My family had the salad bar and they said the clam chowder tasted sour. We're use to the chowder being more chunky and rich tasting but tonight they said it was off. Other than that, everything else was delicious. Update Monday Mar 11 2024: Guess it was a busy weekend because we tried ordering steak and endless shrimp but it was unavailable. Then we tried ordering the advertised Fishermen’s dish but that too was unavailable. Luckily, the salmon was available. The salad bar was fresh and fully stocked. Food was great, much better than before the remodel but Sizzlers must have changed the model as things are more chaotic and is more like a buffet than a restaurant. So after your order they no longer give you your plates, silverware, and cups, you just grab what you need. This presents 2 problems, when it's busy how does the waitress know what you ordered? There are no cup distinction between water and soda, should have just said round of waters and get soda. Same thing for the salad bar, should have just ordered my meal without the salad bar and just get up and get the salad bar without paying. The waiteress came by 4 times to help us and only asked for the receipt twice and both times my wife was away from the table who had the receipt, bit she said it was okay. Again it was busy so no time to check. The waitress herself looked like she didn't want to be there, we rarely saw her, the only reason she was there was to give us our meal which she got wrong the first time because she didn't know what we ordered.
