i-Tea San Jose — Restaurant in San Jose

My go-to spot for Boba around the area. However, this place can be #shady sometimes with #BadCustomerService. The staff takes #shortcuts at the expense of service. I was annoyed at my recent experience here on December 21. I ordered a drink with aloe vera, but after taking a sip I received it with lychee instead. I notified them of the error, and I noticed that the staff just removed the lychee and replaced it with a low but using the same tea. I called them out on it, and no apologies. As they were remaking my order for the third time oh, "I said what if I had an #allergy to lychee?" The staff member just looked down and ignored me. Additionally I noticed a staff member motion to another staff member that they put the old drink (the one I had taken a sip from and spit back into the drink because of the lychee) in the fridge, which I saw. I hope they didn't give that #saliva ridden drink to another customer or a staff member. That's very #unsanitary!

Additionally, during the 15-minute ordeal, I didn't even receive an apology. I wanted to speak with a manager to avoid writing a public review, but the #NoApology and a disinterest in engaging with me left me no choice. i-Tea I think you...

I came here for a couple of times because I like their drinks and food! However two days ago, the female staff called my number to pick up my order. My cousin and I picked up our drinks and the popcorn chicken, that was placed next to our drinks. Then, two ladies asked where's their popcorn chicken, angrily. One of the male staff came out from the counter and yelled, "Who took the popcorn chicken?!". Without having no clue and wondering if it was me so I said, "Erm..me?". The male staff rushed towards my table and looked at my receipt, he then took my popcorn chicken and looked. He placed it back down, seeing that we had already ate it. He told us in a disappointed and disrespectful way, "Next time, don't do that again!", as if we stole something! My younger cousin was sad that she almost cried in tears. Few minutes later after he said that, my number was called again for my takoyaki, I thanked them for handing me, my takoyaki. Instead of "you're welcome", they glared at me! NEVER GONNA...

i loveeeee itea. it’s the most consistent boba shop in san jose when it comes to taste, no contest. i literally drink milk tea almost every day (minimum 4x a week) and whenever i try a new place, i always end up going back to itea. it just never fails.

even on a calorie deficit, their wintermelon tea with sea salt kreama (30% sugar, 30% ice) still hits every time. shake it up so the kreama mixes with the tea and boom—tastes like regular milk tea. and it’s only 180 calories max, even with 100% sugar. that’s wild.

their food is also so slept on. the basil popcorn chicken and cajun fries are always a hit, but the parmesan truffle fries??? yeah… i’ve had truffle fries at alexander steakhouse and i still prefer the ones from itea....
