Food was 4-star, service was 1-star Pros: good selection of food, tasty food, spacious indoor, spacious shaded and open outdoor seating. Nice decorations, friendly staff Cons: service was soooo slow and confused about the order. The bread and butter came after we finished our appetizer! In the bathroom, paper holder and cover box were very dusty. We ordered lemonade for kids and They brought water with a touch of lemonade, instead of lemonade. When we asked and complained they insisted that it was lemonade. When I finally asked to have the drinks changed they told us that the lemonade machine was broken! (They expected us not to realize or complain!!). Mac& cheese was supposed and as mentioned in the menu be made with elbow pasta. Instead it was penne with some white sauce and cheese on top, not mac&cheese sauce. They were in rush to clean up the table: I had to take my kid to restroom in the middle of my salad and when I returned salad was gone. The server didn’t understood English well that when we asked for utensils after they had removed them from our table, he couldn’t understand and took him some time to grab the manager and bring us some forks. After all these mistakes and delays, we got the check with the tip written on it!! Which was more than 20%. when we were leaving, the owner chased us and asked for more tip and her excuse was that for parties larger than 6 we had to pay more, without any mention of “service fee” on the check. While the tip she had already written on the check was even more than the formula she was explaining to us (2xthe tax). She insisted (like tip had nothing to do with the service and all their mistakes) and stood there until we doubled the tip.

My fiancé and I had such a great experience here! The staff greeted us as though it were their opening day; nothing but compliments and smiles. The vibe of the restaurant is definitely modern, but still intimate. Tasso himself greeted us with a handshake and made sure to check in with us after every course. Now for the food: DELICIOUS! We ordered a cilantro, jalapeño feta spread to start off with and it was absolutely tasty. We then followed with their avgolemono soup- hands down the best we've had in the South Bay area. For the main course, we ordered their mussels and chorizo. The broth was full of the flavor and the mussels were so fresh. It was all just a great entrée. We ended the evening with their baklava and boy what a great ending to the evening! Their baklava was made with almonds instead of pistachio which gave it a different crunch texture; full of fall spices and then complimented with some fresh strawberries. Shoutout to our bartender and server, Jennifer, who made this visit that much better. We will definitely come back again!

Very modern Greek decorated establishment in blue and white. With a very warm hostess/waitress/owner. She was delightful, and so was the food. This was my fourth trip to this restaurant, something just keeps calling me back. This time I tried one of the lunch specials, the Gyros plate. An abundance of fries and pita bread with salad and meat. Traditional Greek standards that were deliciously made. As before my favorite was the salad. Fresh fresh ingredients with crunchy bell peppers and onions. Plump tomatoes and olives...and I got 6 olives (no skimping there). Plenty of feta and just the right amount of Tzatziki. Meat and pita and fries were cooked just perfectly, nothing dry here. My companions enjoyed there meals as well. The one guy who ordered the moussaka didn't even leave a crumb, he enjoyed it so much.

I was very excited to try Tasso’s but I was disappointed with the service I received at Tasso's. I dined on a Saturday night and came in a few minutes before 6 pm. My party of 3 was seated towards the end of the restaurant by the bathrooms. Mary was our server and took a while to take our order. We had to wave her down to first get her attention. Our party ordered drinks, crispy chicken to share and entrees. We let her know we would be splitting one of the meals and she didn’t mention additional fees. We didn’t see her for another half hour. We asked a few other people including another server where our drink are. We waited over 60 minutes for our entrees while watching other parties seated in other sections get served before us. Very frustrated, we asked her to cancel the order since we just wanted to go home. She said she couldn’t do that and the kitchen was busy. The salmon entree came out on two plates and was pretty small and tasted ok. We were really ready to leave but still had to run up to the server again to get the bill. We got a bill that included a $10 “split fee” for the salmon we weren’t expecting. The price on the menu for the salmon was $26. Our bill charged us $27 for the salmon, with the additional split fee it was almost a $40 entree and we were extremely disappointed. Also the crispy chicken tasted good but some of the pieces were cold on the inside. I would not recommend. After seeing all the similar reviews about inconsistent service and fees, please check your bill if...

This was easily the worst service I have ever received. I arrived with my party, sat down and ordered, and then proceeded to wait an hour to get our food.

After we ordered, about 20 minutes passed and the waiter returns to our table. She smiles and asks 'Have I taken your order yet'? We felt quite confused as she certainly had. We said yes, she looked through her book, found our order and said 'oh I know!'. I asked if our food was still coming, she looked into my eyes and lied to me by saying it was. She had clearly forgotten to place our order.

Another 20 minutes passed, and still no food. I tried to flag her down (as she had not returned to our table, or looked in our direction) until I eventually called for her from over the bar. I asked to cancel the food, as we had already waited 40 minutes, and felt ready to leave. She in no polite terms responded by saying it was impossible to cancel the food as we had already placed our order, we just needed to wait...so wait we did!

20 minutes later the food finally came. We eat, and then after a few minutes of trying to get a waiters attention, we stood up, asked for the check, paid, and left.

Maybe this was a freak occurrence, as other tables seemed to receive their food on time (many sat down after us, and asked for box's by the time we received our food) but still an unpleasant...
