I drove through the drive through last night around 11:45pm and was told by Blanca the Manger (Read her name tag) that their system was down and they were only accepting mobile orders.
I asked if i could order on my phone and drive back around to pick up through the drive through and she said yes.
In a matter of minutes from ordering to driving back around.. There was no answer from Blanca at voice box or pick up window...
The employees car was still in the parking lot but it seemed they were ghosting and purposely ignoring us.
I decided to park my car and walk up to the front door to get their attention..
Once I parked, I noticed another employee was trying to get back in to the building but was ignored by Blanca and the cook inside the building. They did not let him back in so I think he left..
As I walked around to the front door, I saw Blanca and the cook Joking around and laughing about something and immediately noticed my order on the order screen. Which is when I realized they were flat out ignoring us and the rest of the cars driving thru the drive thru.
I finally got Blanca's attention and she immediately signaled me that they were closed..
I ended up leaving because there was no convincing her otherwise.
When I got home I decided to call the location and see if I can get a refund. After 5 tries, I finally got a hold of Blanca and asked if I could get a refund and why she and her cook decided to ignore us?..
Blanca said, they decided to close early because her cook was not feeling well even though when I looked inside they were smiling and joking around..
I realized that Blanca was lying to me and both decided they were done working for the night, ignored customers and would't even let in their own employee who was trying to get back in.
People like Blanca should not be customer facing and she is a liability to Del Taco's reputation. I will not be visiting that location anymore. Thank you Blanca and the cook for offering a grade A...
Read moreWent yesterday for the first time ever and had a TERRIBLE experience. There was no one in the drive through and we made our selection as quickly as possible. The issue started whilst ordering and getting yelled at by a clearly exasperated drive through worker. I tried to ignore it as I had children with me and I know the service industry can be a tough one. I pull up and try to explain it’s our first time and apologized for taking too long or not being loud enough. Not that I did anything wrong but I was hoping to neutralize whatever was happening. She completely ignored me and told me to pull up to the parking near the back.
After pulling into the reserved spots for the DT, we had to immediately close the windows as there was an overwhelming TRASH smell. Gross but whatever. We are too far invested now and I have hungry children who have a reasonable expectation that their food will come shortly. A few minutes later and the middle aged, highly irritated woman comes out with the wrong order. I got us three little mini shakes with the “popping boba” (they call it something else and I ordered per what they’re calling it) but she came out with 3 small sprites that have the boba and proceeds to argue with me about what I KNOW I ORDERED. At this point, my patience and kindness are wearing very thin and she huffs back to the kitchen after the back and forth with me (in front of my children).
At the end of all this, the food was cold and gross. I’m not sure it would have been good even if it was still hot. I will never go to another Del Taco as this initial visit has managed to ruin them all. Please train your staff better and, the worst part, she seemed to be a manager herself. Read moreSheer and utter disappointment. We waited in the drive thru line for 15 minutes before getting to order. If there wasn't someone behind me I would have backed out. When I ordered the jumbo shrimp combo, the cashier argued with me that there wasn't a combo for that and I had to buy everything seperately, even though they have a giant sign next to the menu advertising this combo. He refused to allow me to order it, so I changed my order completely just to accommodate him. Then when I ordered a soft taco he asked me what kind of taco I wanted, and I specifically said ground beef soft taco. Finally we get up to the window, wait 5 minutes for the cashier to collect the money, and another 2 minutes for the change. I notice I have been charged for a taco that is double the price of the one I asked for, but I let it go for fear I will have to wait even longer. 8 minutes later the food comes out, and surprise!! It's incorrect. So we have to wait for them to fix the order. A total of 40 minutes from the time we got in the drive thru until we got our correct order with 0 napkins and 0 apologies.
