Alquimia Whisky Bar & Tapas — Restaurant in San Juan

I truly wanted to enjoy Alquimia Whiskey Bar, especially since the drinks themselves were good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Plates sat at our table for an uncomfortably long time before anyone came to clear them, and when we politely mentioned the slow service to our server, the response was shocking. They told us, “I’m a bartender, not a waiter.”

When I replied that perhaps they needed more staff if they couldn’t keep up, the server’s response was, “Then come and work for us.” That level of unprofessionalism really ruined the experience. No matter how good the drinks may be, dismissive and defensive service like that overshadows everything else. Sadly, I left disappointed and won’t be recommending this...
