I really wanted to love this place being that it is a local small business but there was one thing I just couldn't get past. Our waiter was wonderful. Everyone greeted us from the entrance and after seeing how hot we were , he switched us over to a separate dining area that was air-conditioned. We ordered Juguito de Parcha with was super sweet and refreshing. I did order another glass of water on the side to reduce it a bit. We ordered our meal. I asked for Pechuga rellena with papas, tostones and salad. Please Ask what's in the salad if you are NOT a cabbage fan. I'm not so that was not fun for me . The chicken started gooing extra melted cheese when I cut it. It looked like milk gooing out. I ordered papas with my meal thinking it's potatoes Well, it was French fries. That was a sad surprise . I just couldn't eat anything but the tostones and decided to order a side of arroz Con habichuelas. Man that really hit the spot! Yes it was just rice and beans but it was hearty and comforting food! So back to what I couldn't get past. EVERYTHING we ordered that was fried was used in the same frying oil as the meats . So the fries had an after taste of fried meat . The tostones .. the chicken! Everything! I would still come back and maybe ask what comes with the order, is it fried in same oil ? Because in Texas, the say salad .. we get lettuce , tomatoes ..etc . They say fries and it's French fries . They say potatoes and it's mashed potatoes ,home fries , roasted potatoes .. etc etc . This is not the establishments fault , it's ours for assuming especially when we're in another country. All in all , we liked the service and some of the...
Read moreSpacious restaurant with two dining areas—besides the tables near the ordering counter, there’s another section with air conditioning for a cooler experience. Affordable prices. The staff is so attentive… they might just bless you along with the menu if you let them. The walls are lined with photos of local celebrities makes you feel like you’re dining at a Puerto Rican Hall of Fame. The roast chicken was so good… it made me forget the rest of the meal was basically background noise. The sides (rice and beans, yuca, guineitos, piononos, and so on) were edible but nothing special. It felt like passing a class with a C: you made it, but you know you could’ve done better. The real heartbreak was the stuffed potato… I got more excited than when the Christmas bonus hits, but sadly, it didn’t live up to the hype. At least there’s plenty of parking and they accept contactless payments, so you can leave quickly if the pionono...
Read moreI like this place. The employees are really nice, including the owner who is seen in the restaurant making sure the customers are happy. The food is really good and the service is great. I found this place to be comfortable. They have a space like a cafeteria where you can eat without A/C which is not hot, and an area with A/C to be more comfortable. You don't have to wait long for food once you've ordered, and they always have cooked food in the cafeteria, like rice and chicken. I give...
