La Esquina Familiar — Restaurant in San Juan

This is a hidden place that only locals know about. It's not even on a main street and the place looks like and ordinary Puerto Rican home, but don't be fooled, the food is always fresh and the portions are huge! The are rules though. Only two people can share one meal. If you get it to go, you can't eat it there, and no outside drinks. Also come early because the food goes quick. I suggest to get there...

OMG!! Second time to this very small place but huge on their flavored food. They are very clean, quick and friendly. Their serving size are for about 4 people who eat normal size meal. That means their plates are HUGE and so so good. All their menu are very flavorful and so cheap. Very sad that I didn't take pictures of each of the plates, but next...

This place is like a eating at your favorite aunts place.

There is no wow factor in regards to the location....however the food is amazing, not a big menu just simple home cooked meal. The Carne guisa...cooked in beer is out of this world, the red Spanish rice with a breaded chicken breast or steak...😋😋
