I recently ordered takeout from Mai Thai restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The green papaya salad was refreshingly crisp and bursting with flavor, a testament to the freshness of their ingredients. The chicken satay was equally impressive, perfectly grilled and seasoned to perfection, making each bite a savory delight.

Beyond the delicious food, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the exceptional customer service, even for takeout orders. The staff ensured that everything was well-packaged and ready for pickup, and their friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable.

Moreover, Mai Thai offers affordable prices without compromising on quality, making it a fantastic option for those craving authentic Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.

Overall, I highly recommend Mai Thai for both dine-in and takeout experiences. With their delicious food, cleanliness, excellent customer service, and affordability, they truly stand out as a top-notch Thai restaurant worth returning to...

I would not suggest eating here if they are busy I've ate here several times and it was good they're really expensive went in and they were busy the food was horrible I ordered the spicy catfish they had fried it several times and was unedible I asked if they could replace it with a new dish and I was told by the server that the cook had pre-fried all of the catfish so it'd be the same , we also had the barbecue beef which is usually good but it was so tough they had a friend come in with a baby and even though they were busy they were spending time visiting with them we never got our dinner salads until after our dinner came they said that they would comp them but they did not ,we paid our bill and left a 15% tip when I said goodbye the older lady just cleared at me why because I was unable to eat their rock hard catfish how rude of this...

Wow what happened to this restaurant? I hadn't eaten here for a year but now it's not the same. Before the prices were reasonable with big portions and very tasty Pad Thai. If Thai restaurant doesn't know how to make good Pad Thai, you know somethings not right. I've had the real stuff in Thailand many times so I know when it's made right. So now I'm paying more for less tasty food. Today the dinner portion was half of the lunch special (a year ago.) We got the check and was double charged for a scoop of ice cream. The bill listed a banana and ice cream, but we didn't order a banana, only ice cream. And to seal the deal to never come back, the suggested tip was calculated including the tax! Very deceptive. This was one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area, but time to...

Corn cakes are amazing. Mai Thai is one of the best casual dining Thai food places in the Bay Area, and certainly one of the few outside of Berkeley where you can taste the quality and freshness of their veggies and sauces (I'm a Thai & Indian food fanatic, though more adventurous with the former). I like the pork red curry without jalapeños, as I've lost a bit of spicy food tolerance. If you're a local, you should also check out other eats in the strip mall. They're really high quality meals at low prices. Definitely a favorite food spot.

Portions are the perfect size. Pad Kee Mao was excellent - noodles perfectly singed, fresh veggies and just the right amount of sauce. The chicken wing appetizers have a great sauce, but the meat was a little dry, still good enough I’d likely get it again. The pork larb was a bit salty for my taste, but it’s also a dish with a lot of intentional variation in the bay area so even though it didn’t hit my expectation it was still very good. Service is excellent and they’ve put a lot of effort into making the dinning area unique and cozy

Twice I've ordered food from here and both times seems like they forgot my order.i had to go back in there and tell them what I ordered again and wait another 15 minutes. Their food is not authentic. The drunken noodle which are known to be spicy are just sweet. Inconsistent sauce, one time it was very bland another it was too spicy. But what really put me off was that they made me wait a half hour for half a serving of pad Kee mow. It had some veggies and a few broken pieces of noodles for $15!!! Do not come here...
