Brenda's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Sandwich Township

After all of the raving reviews I was completely disappointed with my experience today. Firstly I should have gotton a receipt the total for 2 panini, a fry (which I thought I ordered 2), 1 cup of lemonade, and a kids "popcorn chicken" meal with 2small ice creams came to $40. The food took a good half an hour to come and when it did there was only one frie and two strips of chicken. I politely went to the counter and told the different face behind the counter that the other girl informed me when I went to order fries and popcorn chicken for my son it was better to get the kids meal... when you're ordering popcorn chicken and someone claims they have a kids meal with that you assume that's what your getting...not strips. This young girl obviously doesn't have a child, but the mere difference between strips and popcorn chicken is huge to a 6 year old who was excited about popcorn chicken because he hasn't had it in forever... I informed the girl behind the counter who told me sorry she charged u for one fry not two and you're going to have to buy popcorn chicken or I can just cut up the strips.... uhm well I said now losing my patience I guess I'll have to buy the popcorn chicken Too? Over $40and charge me for your mistake on not explaining to me u were giving me strips instead of popcorn chicken. And the fry thing I wouldn't have been so annoyed had the girl NOT repeated my order back to me as 2 fries, 2 panini, and popcorn chicken kids meal with lemonade, and 2 icecreams... I manage a small restaurant and I would have been ashamed of my staff had they not known how to resolve simple matters. No customer should be to blame for employees mistakes, and on top of it every time a customer walks in the door you should great them. We weren't even given a welcome to Brenda' s or a simple hello upon walking in the door. The food was fast food I didn't expect much from it, the custard was great, unfortunately the taste of the visit overshadowed it. Would not recommend. Horrible customer service...

If you guys keep track of my other reviews you will notice that there arent that many good places to eat in sandwhich. BUT BRENDAS IS A MUST SEE ATTRACTION! Their ice cream/shakes just might be the best around and their loaded nacho platters have ALL FRESH ingredients! The ambiance was also awesome as I completely felt like i was dining at a late 60’s early 70’s diner, with clean stools and elvis music playing. The service was also top notch! Autumn brought my food right to my table and also took my order with a nice smile, and Ethan had a welcoming smile on his face as well. If you have time and are hungry DEFINITELY check...

OK just found this place I am from Hinkley Illinois And this is the 1st time that I actually ate a real hamburger not a frozen patties, not round patties a real hamburger! Their double cheeseburger was full of flavor it was awesome and it was huge an at a good price as well They have so much other stuff that Im going to be going back to try some more. If you've never checked it out then you're missing out , check them out today Oh and on top of it the two girls that were in there , which was today Sunday April 10th...
