Location: 7529 Roswell Rd Suite #5, Atlanta, GA 30350
I usually don’t write reviews, but I wanted to share my recent experience with Domino’s, mainly because it’s been frustrating going back to the same location and seeing the same issues repeat.
I ordered a pizza pretty late—around 11:15 PM—and added extra chicken as a topping. When I got home and opened the box, I immediately noticed that while there was chicken on the pizza, it looked like the regular amount. Definitely not what I’d expect for paying extra. It wasn’t completely missing, but it felt like I just got the standard portion despite paying more. That’s disappointing, especially when you’re hungry and looking forward to a specific topping.
The crust was another issue. The edges of the pizza were way too thick—like, so much dough that it actually made it hard to enjoy the slice. I ended up leaving about an inch of crust on four or five slices because it was just too much bread with no flavor or topping. I don’t mind a thicker crust in general, but this one felt like it wasn’t rolled out properly and didn’t bake evenly.
Taste-wise, something was just off. I can’t quite explain it, but it didn’t have the usual flavor I expect from Domino’s. The sauce and cheese didn’t stand out, and the chicken itself tasted a little odd—not spoiled or anything, but not super fresh either. It kind of made us stop and question whether it was okay to keep eating.
When I picked up the pizza, I actually asked the staff if it had the extra chicken I paid for, and the guy at the counter said yes. He seemed new, and to be fair, he did offer to remake it for me. But since it was already late and I was tired, I told him it was fine and left with it as-is. Looking back, I should have just waited, but I didn’t want to deal with a delay at that hour.
This isn't the first time this has happened at this location. I honestly think they use this store to train new employees, because about half the time, the order comes out with some kind of issue—missing toppings, uneven cooking, or weird crust. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I think I’ve hit my limit.
I’m not trying to be harsh, but when you’re paying for something specific and it doesn’t come through, it gets frustrating. Especially when it keeps happening. I hope this store can work on consistency and training so people don’t keep walking away disappointed.
For now, I’ll probably try a different location or skip Domino’s altogether...
Read moreI ordered a pizza from this store (store no. 5705) on November 29, 2015 @ 0005 (order no. 333737). The tracker tells me that, at 0042, a driver named Trendafil had left to deliver the pizza. By 0120, there is no sign of a pizza at my door. No phone call. No knock on the door.
At 0124, I call the store and speak with Eric (the manager), who informs me that Trendafil came by the apartment, called my phone and was informed by two females that no pizza was ordered. Trendafil then talks to me and confirms what Eric previously stated, but then adds that the pizza had been sitting in their kitchen the whole time.
So...the pizza was sitting in the kitchen all this time, but yet, you came by my apartment with it?
Confused by the conflicting stories, I then ask for Eric (the manager) again, and despite reciting my phone number perfectly, he claimed they weren't able to reach me, maintaining the "two women answered and denied ordering a pizza" story. Furthermore, they won't do a test call to determine whether or not they're telling me the truth.
At this point, it's roughly 0128 and Eric asks me, "do you want to order it for tomorrow? Because we're closed now." NO! I DON'T want to order it for tomorrow because I ordered it for today! Why not have a different (competent) driver deliver my pizza, instead of one who sits idly by in the back of the store, hoping that I'd forgotten I ordered it? Even if Eric HIMSELF offered to deliver the pizza as a way to make amends, I'd have declined, but it would have made a HUGE difference between a good and a bad review.
In the end, I begrudgingly thanked them and dismissed the situation. I've normally had excellent experience with Domino's, but this has by far been the worst, and it's all attributed to that particular store's incompetence, which is clearly endorsed by the telltale Google reviews.
ON A SIDE NOTE: if you check the Google reviews for this location, you'll find that the only "excellent" rating given about this location is from the aforementioned delivery...
Read moreThese people at this store are ridiculous. One time a friend ordered delivery through the restaurant & we always do leave at door and do not knock: contactless. The delivery driver waited around nearby until I opened the door & asked for a tip. I’m not even the one that ordered the pizza. Someone else did. & contactless means don’t contact the person unless necessary. Also that’s very uncomfortable for someone to be waiting around nearby on a contactless order. Then the last time I had an order through the restaurant for delivery the driver never delivered it & I called the store & let them know & the guy on the phone tried to say they wouldn’t be able to deliver it now because the store is about to close. I told them the store being about to close isn’t my problem when they made the error. The driver tried to say my full address wasn’t on the ticket. I told him that’s not true and I can see the address on the account. I told them don’t worry about it I’m going to come up to the store the next day and show the address screenshot from the order and get my money back. Then all of sudden the driver is like “well the order is still here. Can I bring it to you”? Now all of a sudden he can bring it to me. I said I’ll just come get it myself in case he gets “lost” again. So I go up there and pick up my food and they don’t give me the receipt probably because they knew it would show my full address & they were lying. Now a friend ordered pizza again and they call me asking for a tip; like I get it, I do. I always tip but this behavior is irritating and unprofessional. You should never be calling any customer asking them for a tip. Especially when you haven’t even delivered the food yet. It’s uncomfortable and weird. In my over 20 years of living I’ve NEVER had any pizza delivery driver call me or wait outside near my door & ask for a tip. These behaviors that these employees are exhibiting do not deserve a tip. Literally need to never have an order from this...
