Caffeine Station — Restaurant in Sandy

When you walk into this place, you are instantly greeted in such a manner that made you feel like you were stopping by a close friends house. The atmosphere inside is a thing of beauty for such a small space. Comfortable couches to sit on as you wait. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even patient as I was taking my sweet time ordering as there was many different options. I went with a mocha with extra shots (love my caffeine). Oh my, the coffee was one of the best in the south part of Salt Lake Valley at least. For breakfast I went with the burrito w/ sausage. The burrito was of decent size that I will probably finish it for my lunch today. The flavor took me to my foodie happy place. The sausage in it was different then your normal sausage, at least to my untrained pallet, but it was a wonderful change to the typical every day breakfast burrito with sausage. 10/10 for me. I don't like to give out 5 stars because it's difficult to be perfect. Caffeine Station is as close as it gets for me. Super friendly owners. They are new owners as of mid-2023. Very eager to serve and gain the customers' approval. Also, their interaction with their young employees was awesome with their care and respect for their staff. Ask about the Australian latte. I had the house blend featuring Central Americas beans. Nice and smooth with a little bright acidity. I also ordered the smoked salmon crepe. Great savory and fresh ingredients. Worth the stop. My only criticism (because I need something) is that the chairs may not encourage customers to sit in the shop for a long period of time. I hate to not rate this place five stars. The service was excellent and the coffee was delicious.

However, I’m taking off a star for two reasons:

1. This is kind of silly but I paid $13 for a sandwich and it had iceberg lettuce on it. I just feel like I should have romaine on it for that price. Other than the lettuce, the sandwich was pretty good.

2. It’s called Caffeine Station. Their logo has a train on it. But there was not one piece of train decor in the actual shop. I thought it was train themed and I was so excited but the inside is not train themed. It’s still cute - has nice couches and tables but it’s giving more of a Paris vibe than a train station.
