Upon walking in you are greeted, the lady was nice, however a few things, i ordered the shredded pork meal with 2 sides and bbq ribs with 2 sides it was almost $50 which i thought was a bit pricey because the food was not even hot it was given to us either room temp or cold not sure if during the week because its not that busy cooks don't put interest in their cooking but the food was not that great at all we were disappointed because it was 50 washed away, coleslaw was very dry, potato salad tasted spoiled, beans were good, Brunswick veggie soup was the only item warm, bbq ribs hardly had any meat, fair taste and shredded pork was good just way too much bbq sauce in it, they also serve you everything in separate containers to go instead of putting the food in one food container no free corn bread with your meal nor a roll, food was definitely not made with love, first and last time too. Unfortunately for the prices they have to do better. Store looks empty no character and there was a dog roaming around the kitchen area and behind counter which is a huge no no i don't think that's the greatest idea not by the cashier/ kitchen area, they also did not provide us with napkins or utensils we had to go back in to ask for...
Read moreThis place is the real deal. I drove from North Jersey, where there is no shortage of BBQ and churesqueras. So far, After trying the pork ribs, brisket and potato salad, I can already tell that I will be back soon and I will not be disappointed with the rest of the menu. The brisket was just perfectly tender and smokey, with an excellent sauce on top. It wasn't shredded, but perfectly chopped. I'm glad I bought 2lbs. The ribs were surprisingly tender, after reheating at home and did not really need sauce. The provided sauce was tangy, sweet and different from the sauce on the brisket. The potato salad was truly interesting and unique. It had some kind of buttery flavor, almost like there were cheese grits mixed in. The potatoes were perfectly tender as well. I hate hard, oversized cubes in my potato salad but these guys nailed it. You can tell that they have been doing this somewhere for quite some time and they really take pride in the food prep and service. This place fills the void left by the closing of the double S smoke house and that guy in the Victoria diner parking lot. I hope they remain open for a very long time and I wish...
Read moreGoogle desperately needs to allow half stars. This is a 4.5 star establishment, but 5 and over is rounded up, getting to our 5 star review by default. The brisket is magical. It's chopped, so it could just be smoked chuck... but I don't care at all because it is AWESOME! The pulled pork is good. Pulled chicken is a surprising star, chicken and barbecue flavors gracefully unite into a shockingly delicious item. The ribs are more toothsome than I would prefer, but, tasted great; strong woodsmoke and black pepper notes. The potato salad is.... unique... but grows on you after a few bites... I will order it again. The pulled pork laden baked beans are also very good. The corn bread is one of the best things there! Heavenly semi-sweet cornmeal goodness! For the lesser parts: the French fries were half raw; they needed far longer in the fryer... and the coleslaw... well.... let's just skip the coleslaw... never again... only bad part of the whole meal. The raw fries were off-putting... but the adorable dog photos on the walls and helpful staff more than make up for it. The 4 meat...
