True Teriyaki — Restaurant in Sanger

Good luck getting in, this place is “so busy” but they have time to argue with customers on the phone after they’ve already wasted 20 minutes of their time. Waited on hold for 15 minutes just to get hung up on. I called back a few minutes later and she asked to put me on hold again, I said I had already been on hold for 15 minutes before I got hung up on. Immediately she got defensive and said “I didn’t hang up on you” I’m like yes you did. (Why lie?) she then proceeds to argue with me for almost 5 minutes where’s she changed her story about 3 times. Went from “I assumed you hung up” to “I could hear it click” to “I heard it ring”, but no one ever picked up the phone, so I asked how did you hear anything if YOU NEVER ANSWERED? She got quiet. Safe to say they lost a customer before they ever had one because who even talks to customers like that!? Clearly she wasn’t trained right because you APOLOGIZE when the call gets disconnected, you DO NOT blame the customer! Terrible customer service and I don’t support liars so I will never come here. Ordered a to-go meal and everything was super fresh and made with high-quality ingredients.

Chicken & Salmon Teriyaki: The teriyaki sauce was insanely good—rich and flavorful. The salmon was perfectly cooked (not dry at all), and the chicken had a nice char that gave it great flavor. It came on a bed of rice with a side salad that had a creamy, mayo-based dressing that actually paired perfectly with the whole dish. I loved the broccoli they added too—such a nice touch. 10/10!

Spicy Tuna Roll: Spice level was spot on for me. The roll was a generous portion, well-seasoned, and the cucumber slices were a little thicker than usual—but I ended up loving that. Gave the roll a nice crunch and balance.

The tempura (broccoli and zucchini) felt almost illegal to be enjoying and crunching on. The crispy balanced perfectly with the inside crunch and goodness. The sauce that came with these was excellent. It was served perfectly hot; the burn in the mouth is not a second or third degree type of food burn. This place has its temperatures, ratios, and measurements right. The food was served with love and care. We also tried the chicken soba. OH my Lord this is delicious. The Soba is the Star.
