GIVO Ice Cream — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Stopped by to check out the new ice cream shop located in the same shopping center as Northgate Market. So glad I did! Place is extremely clean and well lit. Staff was very welcoming and helpful with introducing me to their shop. They make all of the ice cream there daily, and had 44 flavors available! I was able to sample Choco Banana (a chocolate banana flavor), Roses (a light and different flavor…if you like Rose Water or Rose flavour, then you will appreciate and enjoy this!), and Cinnamon Apple Pie (tastes just like it but creamier and better!). I was craving a milkshake and decided on their Choco Banana flavor, which was delicious!!!! I picked up two special paletas for my daughter to bring home: one Mango with Chamoy filling inside and a Strawberry with Creme filling. My daughter loved them! They have regular paleta flavors, too. GIVO Ice cream is open 7 days a week, I think the hours are 11am-9pm. With the different flavors available, I’m definitely coming back to try something new.

This Ice Cream Shop is the Spot. It is sooo good and they have so many flavors you would not think of. They a Tequila ice cream that’s creamy like the taste of vanilla and has slivered almonds with the slight after taste of the tequila. It surprised me. I had the Papaya and it was so refreshing and delicious. The Mamey was good as well. They have samples, the guy was super cool and friendly. The make their Ice Cream in house. This is the place people!!! Highly recommended A must try… They have paletas that are filled in the center Wow!! They have everything you need from an Ice Cream Shop. Mexican Owned Go show...

It's nice to have a tasty ice cream parlor in the neighborhood. The old Stater Bros. plaza has been revamped with newly remodeled Northgate supermarket as the anchor store and the rest of the plaza got a fresh facelift, including new stores such as Givo Ice Cream. The brother/sister shop definitely is a good hit as they serve up unique flavors of freshly churned ice cream with real fresh fruits. The diverse offering of flavors will satisfy everyone's palate. Definite to try is the choco-banana, the apple pie cinamon, or the rose water flavored ice cream.
